Not TTC yet, but hopefully in a year or so. I like to keep a list of baby names on my computer just in case, and Leonora is one I have come across that I love. However, I am curious as to how people will commonly try to pronounce it: Lee-oh-nora or Luh-nora
Also, what nickname do you like the best for this name?

Actually I would pronounce it Len-ora
Nicknames? Nora, Len, Leni, Nori

I’d pronounce it Lee-oh-nora, and I like Leo or Nora best for nicknames 🙂 Leo would be kind of cute since it’s really different for a girl, Nora is one of those names that I am expecting to get popular within the next few years. Both are really pretty though! Love the name!

i’d probably pronounce it leh-oh-nora, but that’s the spanish in me coming out 🙂

I loooove Lee-Lee as a nickname for a baby, maybe Lee or Nora as she gets older. Darling Husband is super picky with girl’s names so I’ll see how he feels about this one…ha ha

Lee-oh-nora, definitely. My cousin-in-law goes by “Lee.” I think Lee-Lee is sweet for a little one! Nora is elegant for when she’s grown.

Interesting! So would you pronounce Leon as Len?

@GroovyHippieChick: same here! Le-nora. Like I say Leonard as Le-nard not Leo-nard

I’d pronounce it Len-ora as well. (I pronounce Leon like Lee-on though)
