1) Ask to see the pictures from an entire wedding. Anybody can get a few good ones, but you want to see the overall quality of the photographers work.

2) Make sure you gel with the photographer. Seriously, does this person “get” you as a person, & do they seem to understand your vision?

3) Price. How does their price compare to their quality? I’d be willing to pay more for somebody who really knows what they are doing, so don’t go with the rock bottom price, but you might also not need to go with the photographer who has the highest rates.

4) Take a look at their editing style. I personally like lots of editing and artistic shots, so I sought out somebody that could deliver in that capacity.

5) Trust your gut. If everything on paper lines up, but something inside tells you you’ll regret going with a particular photographer, go with the one you really want. If you do this any other way, you’ll be a nervous wreck, and you probably won’t be as happy when it is said & done.

6) Read the contract with a fine-tooth comb. What comes with your package, & what limitations and clauses do they happen to slip in?

@isabelle_86:  I don’t blame you.

Just go with the photographer that has the most beautiful pictures in your opinion, the greatest personality, & best inclusive package, & the best cost to quality ratio.
