I think after this week filled with disasters that my 13th *might* be the ok day. Though this morning started badly as I left my e-ring on my bed and was halfway to the train when I remembered it, then my car almost died in the middle of the road. It needs repairs big time...but luckily a tank full of gas did the trick. Made the commuter rail by 2 minutes. Since then it's been quiet, but I have a huge executive board conference call at 3....so there's about 4 hours left for things to fall apart!
ha ha if I had won $96 million I would've bailed on work and the conference call and gone out and bought a brand new Subaru this morning. LOL.

A black cat crossed my path in my kitchen this morning because I own one ;o)
It's actually my sister's birthday today -- we're horror nuts, so she loves when her birthday is on Friday the 13th.
No bad luck here (so far - knock on wood) but missing FI (he's serving overseas since Sept - not back til Feb) and a bit homesick...doesn't happen VERY often but it sure stinks...
nothing nutty here so far, knock on wood. its pouring and windy and so nasty today though! im sitting here at work looking up lighting (im and interior designer) and im so bored cuz i hate lighting anf im not finding what i want. getting my hair done tonight so hopefully theres no bad luck with that, that would be bad!!!
Ugh. Not good. We have a mouse in our apartment that has been torturing us and it reared it's nasty little head this morning taunting us. Then I got to work and had an email full of attitude from a self-important writer that thinks she can do no wrong when I assure you, she can and she has.
@Kittyachi: You should borrow my cat. The mouse will be gone in less than ten minutes haha
Not that great. I got woken up at 3:45 this morning by my work (I am on call 24/7) and ruined the rest of my precious sleep. Had to go in 30 minutes early to investigate one on my employees looking at pornography on the desk computer. Awesomeness. Pure awesomeness.
Mine is going great Fi comes home in an hour for the weekend and then I'm going to NYC with the girls later tonight.
it started off a bit crappy, but now it's not so bad! things are running pretty smoothly at work for the time being. and i leave tomorrow morning to go visit my family for a week! yay!
@hotchild: me too! A fat, black cat named Dante crosses my path several times a day and I make it through :)
The day's going pretty well so far -- have some fun work research projects and some mass emails to send out. The boy wants to grill tonight and I'm hoping to talk him into beef pinwheels from Market Street ... yum!
I'm making the FI take me to see Paranormal Activity (after 3 years of dating, this will be our first movie together at the theatre) to celebrate a Scary Day!
I'm getting my hair cut today and having lunch with an old friend I haven't seen in years, so hopefully nothing goes wrong!
Is it me or are there more than one friday the 13th that was this year?
@Sage: You'll love it! Don't go to a show where there might be a lot of teenagers and don't let your FI talk through it. The sound is like the most important part of the movie!
@hcritton--it always astounds me that people do that! It's like, hello, you KNOW your history is monitored or at least that certain sites are red flagged by IT. Sheesh.
@brooklynbride--I noticed that too. I think we've had quite a few Friday the 13ths this year.
My Friday the 13th has been quite boring so far.... *knocks on wood* hopefully it stays this way. My boss is out of town so we dont have anything to do except sit here and twiddle our thumbs.
A black cat has crossed my path several times and I would be worried if he didn't since he lives here.
Honestly I am not superstitious, nor have I ever been. I haven't had any bad luck or similar mishaps yet, whether today or any other day.

The Boy got a call at 3:30 a.m. waking us up from this raging lunatic that has set my day into a tizzy.
I left some original work documents in the car -- the car which the Boy then drove to his job in another city from where we live and where I work.
I came into work (also in a different city than where we live) and didn't even realize that I forgot the paperwork and was not supposed to come in until this afternoon.
My daughter's lunch (she's 4) spilled in her backpack on the train. Spagetti is messy!
My son (age 11) woke up with a mysterious rash on his face.
The Boy is complaining he's sick... all this and it's only noon.
The rest of the day better start going well!
Mine's going good so far. My FH and I went to happy hour last night, and he was ridiculous, so he's treating me to a date night tonight. We're going to grab sushi after work. I'm trying to convince him to see Paranormal Activity with me afterwards, but he's leaning toward Saw VI. I hate the Saw movies....
There's a black cat asleep next to me :-)
Not having a good friday the 13th though. Woke up with a migraine, kinda woozy now, a little nauseous, head still hurts a little...
This work day is dragging, and I am flying down to Atlanta for the weekend (last wedding of the year!!). I just checked the flight status and it's delayed an hour. I doubt that's bad luck of any sort. Getting out of LaGuardia on any given Friday is a nightmare, especially when one is forced to fly Delta. ack!
Just had to reschedule our engagement shoot because of the weather.
Really, really disappointed.
Today is actually our anniversary. We've been together 9 years today! WOW! That's a long time to date. Of course, most of that was in high school. Yep, we're high school sweethearts:)

I've avoided disaster so far, but we're under deadline at work and all I can think about is the person in Kansas who won the $96 million Powerball. That's how *I'd* like to spend my Friday the 13th. ^_^
