So, my Fiance, his two children, one of the employees who works at his shop and that employees nephew all decided to go camping. I knew from the get go this could potentially be a disaster.. As I have posted before, I have a ten year old (almost) step son who is afraid of everything including his own shadow. Meaning he sleeps with his mother still, meaning he can’t be alone and meaning that he is just afraid of everything. ..
Did I mention we brought our new 15 week old lab puppy? We did “Jeff” is his name, he comes in later
So here we all are, three adults, three kids and a dog. We brought two four wheelers and a dirt bike for amusement. We had a two man tent, a “cabin” (that really only holds beds) and an old van with a mattress in the back.
So we spend the whole day playing around and now it’s bed time. All the kids (including 10 year old step son) decide to sleep in cabin, along with the 28 year old employee. We put the pup in there as well, FI and I decide to sleep in the van as it’s cold and the cabin only had 4 beds.
So around 11 when we go to sleep I am relieved to hear my oldest step son say he will sleep in the cabin.
All is well, until about 1.. see Jeff the pup slept In the cabin too.
At 1 step son woke up afraid, and decided to climb across two people to get in bed with the adult… what he didn’t notice is that he stepped in dog poop! Of course someone heard him moving and turned on the light which startled him, and sent poop flying…
So. We get two of the beds clean with new linen, the boys (step children) will sleep in the cabin, while FI And I go back to the van, and employee and his nephew will go to the tent.
We get settled, and I hear a repulsive scream. That is nephew rolling around in the tent…that has been pooped in and now he is covered in it.
So now, finally at 3 AM we get him showered, tent cleaned and everyone changed…
FI and I get into he van, fall asleep.
345 ten year old step son, and comes running into the van, followed by 8 year old step son who said the “craziness” was keeping him up.
So now, here I sit. Freezing in front of a campfire with no where to sleep, sitting on a chair next to a Shit crazy puppy!
I hope your weekend is just as productive and fun!!!.
