I’m 6 months out from a very DIY wedding, but realize that the actual day of the wedding I will not want to do anything myself!
Can anyone recommend a ‘day of coordinator’/wedding planner in the area? I’m getting married in a tiny town in the Catskills (Big Indian, NY).
I would ideally like to spend only $500-$750 if I can.

I am also getting married in the hudson valley. I looked around for Day Of services and the price ragned from $700-$3000! $1000-$1500 seemed the most typical. After going to a friend’s wedding where I saw her stress during the reception about random things, I knew for sure I wanted a day of person I could pay to worry for me and my mom!
Jeanne Stark of Hudson Valley Ceremonies is in your price range ($700) but she missed several appointments we had to speak on the phone and was awful getting back to us. Since the point of a wedding planner is to be on top of the details, this was enough to keep looking.
I am very excited about the person we are using – Sarah Lusardi, the founder of NYengagements.com. She is super organized and very attentive and she got great reviews from the people we contacted. She also has a la carte services so if you find yourself in need of additional help as you get closer to the day, she can help out.
Here are the others we found and price ranges we were quoted – but you can always try to negotiate on price.
