Nobody? I'm having my first bridal freakout today about this, and I'd love to hear anything
At our reception the cost of food PP is $ 36.80 and we are having an open bar from 6-9pm which is costing us $25.00 PP so it comes to $ 61.80 Per person.. $90 seems a bit high especially for that many people. I would maybe try else wear..
@Anxiouspeanut: My goodness! Apparently I need to move to Vancouver :) Thanks for answering dear.
I also just realized I posted this in Beehive - I'm a mess.
are you looking to stay under 90/ head all inclusive? (meaning service and tax)?
I know someone getting married in the hudson valley - they are paying $66 a person for a sit down dinner... i am trying to remember the name of the place...
ETA Its called Chalet on the Hudson
@Petunia4321: That would be nice, but I'd want the price tag to be under $90 at the very least.
@futuremrsmp: Thank you so much - that would be great!!
@futuremrsmp: Thanks again - they look lovely, and I just gave them a call :) With all my research, I hadn't come across them - this is why the bee is so awesome!
I'd love to hear anything else anyone knows - TIA!
I am an a HV bride, I can say that for most places I looked sit down dinners run about more like 95-110/pp
I did look at Chalet actually and I am not sure how they got 66/pp for sit down dinner I believe they quoted me in the 100's. I can say Chalet is under going renovations so perhaps they were running specials to draw in business while they are updating.
I focused on venues that only hosted one event at a time perhaps places that have more weddings offer packages at a lower prices.
I know someone getting married at rolling green in poughkeepsie I believe they are paying about 85/pp (but they are including a bunch of upgrades) perhaps you want to look there.
Sorry this response is kinda all over the place :)
@Petunia4321: Thanks so much for your insights! Very helpful, and I'm checking out Rolling Green now :)
I can't remember specific numbers off the top of my head - but I am paying $110 pp at my venue (Thayer Hotel) and I believe Twin Lakes Lodge was significantly less. They had a few different packages available.
@MrsTtheArmy11: Hey! Thanks for the response :) I should have updated this - we ended up going with Lippincott Manor, which is solidly within our price range, and much prettier in real life than on the website hehe
We looked at Twin Lakes and Chalet on the Hudson, too, and that really helped us get an idea of what we wanted, so THANK YOU to everyone who replied - you helped so much!
I am paying $95 a head (I think, either that or $90) at Round Hill and looooooove it. The place is beautiful, the staff is SUPER helpful and accomodating.

Hi all you lovely bees!
So, my fiance and I want to have a 80-100 person Saturday evening wedding and reception somewhere pretty and outside in the Hudson Valley. We were initially looking at renting a site and bringing in our own stuff, but that seems like it get expensive fast. So this weekend we are going to check out a few places that have a PP charge for food and alcohol that incorporates the site fee. We definitely need something under $90/head, but cheaper would be better.
Could you please help me out with any pricing you know? Even if its rough, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!!!
