@maycoffin: hi! My FI and I were looking for a view of the water in the HV as well, and we finally settled on Thayer Hotel at West Point! It's a great view and unlike anything we imagined we would have for our wedding. The price is just about right for you too. Happy planning!!
Shadow Lawn is about $6,000 just for the venue, and that doesn't include tables, chairs or bathrooms. And unless I'm totally mistaken, it's not by the water. But it is beautiful!

Hi everyone!
So my fiance and I have been up and around Hudson Valley and are hoping to get married by the water. We looke a the Rhinecliff hotel and loved it although I recently came across Shadow Lawn and was wondeing if it was in my price range and worth looking into. We are hoping to spend no more than 110 per person and have approx 120 guests attending.
Has any one gotten married at either of these venues that would have any info? Or anyone who has an great recommendations we would appreciate that as well.
