@cuddlz88: I’m having trouble finding the humble part? All I see in your examples is the “bragger” part!!! Tongue Out

Sounds like straight bragging to me too. Yes, I have a friend like this. She brags about her spending and apartment and then she whines about not being able to save money and being in debt. Huh.

I don’t see humblebragging in that? I guess straight-up bragging, but more that maybe she wants to share good things in her life with someone she considers a close friend.

That’s not humble.  That’s just bragging.

Ugh yes i have a friend that constantly humble brags on Facebook! It’s like a popularity contest it’s so childish. It really irks me how many people “like” her braggy statuses like really? Lol

I have a friend that no matter what her husband does it ends up on social media. one time she was bragging on how talented her husband was…he programmed their programable coffee maker to be set for the morning and many more normal things. I laugh each time with these and FI enjoys them because he does so much but I don’t plaster it anywhere. You may have a great husband that can work electronics and get you Starbucks but mine sat at my side weeks into our relationship while I battled cancer and colonic inertia. We just use it as an outlet to laugh at these days.

A humblebragger is someone that answers the “What are your weaknesses?” question in the job interview with “Well I’m perfectionist and I work almost too hard.  It’s so hard on me, I need to work on it.”

Your special snowflake is a braggart.
