So we eat out like ALOT and I’m talking like 4 times a week. It’s bad I know. Well I decided I would start cooking at home more. I looked on PINTEREST at the Food/Drink catergory and found some great recipes. So I started cooking and trying different ones. I am scared.to.death. of cooking. Anyways, I wanted to see what everyone else favorite meals are and if you would like to share the recipe you totally can!
I will start(:
My favorite: Roast w/ potatoes and carrots in the slow cooker. Seriously yummy with homemade ranch(:
DH’s favorite: Stuffed bell peppers. He will literally beg me to make them everynight.
Now your turn!!!

My husband and I eat out a lot too, but when we (I) do cook we (I) make things like veggie fajitas, clam chowder, mashed potato tacos, tuna casserole, etc. Things that don’t really require that much thought.
It’s difficult for us to cook at home because even though my husband preaches that we should eat at home more he NEVER cooks or comes up with ideas for dinner, and we have a hard time agreeing. I am pescetarian (I don’t eat meat unless it’s seafood) and he eats a lot of meat… so for us it’s just easier to eat out because we can both get things that fit our dietary preferences.
ETA: What do you stuff the peppers with? Also, that slow cooker meal sounds yummy! I need to try some slow cooker recipes sometime. We just got one for as a wedding gift and it’s still in the box. 😛

We’re trying to be better and cook at home more too! Since it’s winter time, I’ve been trying to make the most use of my slow cooker. Here are my latest faves:
1. Buffalo Chicken (we use it to make sandwiches, but you can use it in quesadillas, soup, anything!)
2. Ropa Vieja
3. Slow cooker asian short ribs
I find that coming up with dinner ideas is the hardest! The actual cooking part is easy. I always tell the hubs to let me know what he feels like eating for dinner the night before so I can mentally prepare it. Anyone else feel that way?

I love bbqing almost any meat with Bulls Eye BBQ sauce. And then rice or mashed potatoes with that.

We make a lot of chicken, but right now, we have a freezer full of venison. I love trying new (healthy) recipes – some of DH’s favorites so far are:
– Chicken Curry
– Tilapia Parmesan
– Chicken Enchiladas
– Turkey or Venison Meatloaf
– Turkey or Venision Cheeseburger Pie
I’m making Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps today. I’m slowly starting to use my CrockPot more – I prep it the night before and just turn it on in the morning.
