Does anyone else sometimes wonder where some of the Bee’s went before their big recaps even were posted? I totally understand that life gets in the way but can anyone shed light on some of the more elusive Bee’s on Weddingbee history?

I often wonder the same thing. Mrs. Powder Puff JUST got married and she’s already on hers! I think it takes a while to a.) get pictures back from the photographer, b.) pick out pictures that tell a cohesive story, and c.) write meaningful posts that fully capture the emotions and events of the day. Not to mention life getting in the way and maybe wanting to take a break from “all things wedding” for a while. Maybe some of them want to give the “new-bees” their time in the spotlight. Totally understandable.
At the same time, however, we read all about the planning, get ideas and feel like we’re part of their inner circle, so when it takes 4-6 months to even START re-caps, it’s kind of hard to understand why.

I wonder if it also has to do with spacing out the recaps so there’s always a good mixture of recaps and planning posts.

- Wedding: October 2009 - Ceremony: The Kraine Theatre, Reception: Midtown Loft & Terrace
I think it’s usually a combo of waiting for the pro pics (which can take 4-6 months to get!!) and a feeling of being overwhelmed and not knowing where to start!
Also, I’m torn between whether I’m going to want to start my recaps right away or get a break from wedding things!

There are some Bees that have been married for over a year and their recaps haven’t started. I wonder if that’s kinda what Star has been talking about. Just burnt out.
