We photographed a wedding there in 2009, and I was really impressed: http://www.snaptacularphotos.com/blog/beth-sam-the-wedding-raven-lodge-huntsville-state-park-huntsville-tx/

It’s not great for a large wedding, but for 100 or less, it is just beautiful. And you can bring in all of your own vendors. Our bride and groom actually did pretty much everything themselves-we were the only hired vendors there!

Are you getting married in the fall/spring? I recommend it during mild weather, because the outdoor deck is really the show piece. It looks out on the lake and it’s just beautiful. But…at the wedding we shot, they had pop up tents that just killed the view. I know our bride and groom were very happy with it as a venue.

A friend of mine was going to get married there in 2003 and it is downright cheap to rent.  You can use your own vendors and the patio is lovely, 8 dollars to get into the park, but is a nice place to have a wedding.

I love Huntsville state park. I go every year! I think it would be a beautiful venue.
