My fiance and I were supposed to be taking our e-pics this Sunday in NYC… thanks to Irene, that’s off. I’ve been looking forward to this ONE day since March. This photographer is so booked up… who knows when and where we’ll get to take them now.
So bummed out right now. Just had to get that out.

Damn you Irene!!!
On the bright side your wedding is in June so you have plenty of time to reschedule!
AND at least its just the e-pics and not your wedding day!!!

Don’t get me wrong if I were you I’d be so disappointed I could barely stand it, you EVERY right to be disappointed. But since there is nothing you can do to stop Irene for your own sanity try to look at a different view of it.
Like PP -It isn’t your wedding day. You will be safe and healthy afterwards. I have never been in a huricane so I can’t imagine what it will be like but since I live in Texas and we have not had rain in Austin since May… I would get some good romantic movies, some champagne and stawberries and chocolate and settle down to a nice quiet time with Fiance and think about the wonderful things you have in your life. It is all about attitude. I am sure some good carma will come along and you’ll get the most beautiful E-pictures. Be safe and I agree – Damn you Irene!!!

Man that is sucky. Im sorry. But its probably for the best. with the weather coming that way. Hopefully your photographer will be able to get you in sooner than you think.

can you maybe pick some indoor locations for pix instead? like the library or the MMA? i’ve seen some cute subway shots too…

Noooo, that sucks… I hope you get to reschedule soon! We had to reschedule ours twice due to crappy weather.
@cardus: The entire city is practically shutting down Sunday and there is a realllly good chance mass transit will be shut down too. It’s crazycakes here right now.

@missclover: That’s what I said too… I’d rather have it now then on our wedding day!!! We’re totally fine with it, just a little bummed. We’re just nervous that he’s going to be booked up forever and we won’t be able to have them where we want them….
It’s all good… we’ll just cuddle on the couch and pray that no trees come crashing down!! 🙂

If it’s any consolation, ours was recently cancelled as well. It just tons of rain here in general. Wishing you luck to get them done.

@december bride: We might just be doing that!! We’ll watch the movies, of course, if we have power!!
The last time I was in a hurricane was in 1985… so it’s been a while… it would make for some interesting pictures! Lol.

@Mrs.GtoBe: (((Hugs))) hun.
I’m bummed too. My bachelorette party is this weekend in NYC and because of the storm my sister (my MOH) is no longer coming.
I am so sad she won’t be here to celebrate my bachelorette with me.

@KatNYC2011: Ohhhh noooo!! Better to have her safe for the big day, I guess. She’ll be with you for your most important moment. 🙂
Our photographer left it up to us if we wanted to keep on with it, but NYC made our choice for us a little while ago. No trains and buses, and I’m pretty sure trains from CT will be suspended in a little while.

Ours were scheduled for Sunday too and we also had to cancel!!! I totally feel your pain, I’m super ridiculously bummed out. But at least it’s not your wedding day… Stay safe and i hope you can reschedule soon!

I would be bummed too.

@Mrs.GtoBe: Oh yeah, you have to have electricity. It has been so long since I’ve seen rain I have totally forgotten what it can do. I really can’t even rember what it looks like, hmmm. I hope every one on the east coast stays SAFE!!!!

@Mrs.GtoBe: This happened to us too! Maybe you can have a romantic candlelight dinner instead.
