Ok ladies: I don't mean on purpose: No one needs to turn me in to a support group or anything.

But I keep HURTING MYSELF as my wedding approaches! I swear I'm generally not this much of a klutz.

My legs are covered with bruises, scabs, and a deep deep gash that probably won't heal before the wedding.(And... I'm wearing a short dress, remember?) Last weekend I got a big red bug bite on my FACE. I have nasty tan lines because I forgot to wear sunscreen a few weeks ago. Two nights ago, I opened a closet door really fast and basically scraped the WHOLE TOP OFF MY TOE. And today, I got in a fight with my umbrella during a hailstorm and ended up deeply cutting my thumb and first finger.

Any other late summer/fall brides finding it difficult to keep their skin flawless throughout the summer?

Ouch! The stress is starting to get to me and I'm starting to break out! I can't help but to pick at my face...and it's not looking like a pretty thing right now.

As for your cuts, they'll heal alot faster if you keep changing bandages and keep applying neosporin. Believe me I usually take months to heal wounds but after crashing our 150cc Scooters on Easter Sunday, going about 45 mph and me playing slip and slide on gravel and concrete for about 8 feet, that method really helped speed up the healing process. And I'm talking flesh missing...so...it should help with cuts and scrapes.

For the tan lines, look into gradual self tanners to even out the lines. Go with gradual so you can get the right tone.

Oh emg I know what you mean!! My fiance gripes at me all the time to stop picking at them but grr they're on my face!

I need to go see my GYN to get some birth control. Last time I was on it my skin was crystal clear for the first time ever. It was awesome.

My wedding isn't until next March, but I am klutzy normally. So as my wedding approaches, I have been told I am not allowed near any ladders (or heights in general) or sharp objects.

Have you tried cocoa butter on the scraps? I don't care for the smell but it does help heal faster and minimize the scarring imo.

I also have a BAD tan. I wore sunscreen but when you're floating the river for 9 HOURS in the Texas sun - ya, sometimes sunscreen does not help. LOL So, I went and bought a Nutrogena sunless spray tanner today and I am hoping to even it out that way by only applying where I am still white.  I'll let you know how it goes.

eeek...haha this is my life all the time to a lesser extent as my booboos rarely involve bleeding wounds.  Last night I rammed my love handle into our door handle...this morning i stepped on a barrette...it never ends. I like to guess where I got all my new mysterious bruises sometimes...

I always do these things when I'm thinking about other things or am absentmindedly running about. Try just to slow down...

so no you're not the only one, I wouldnt say I'm klutzy

my fiance in the meantime was in a car crash and had his car window smashed about 2 weeks later

I am athletic, but clumsy; I have been banned from entering rides, races, etc. after September 1st. This is an attempt to avoid crutches, ice packs, and other items. Not that I can't sprain my ankle walking a straight line, but...

I have burnt the top of my head with a curling iron, gashed my left hand on the door and broken out with more spots on my forehead than I can count.

I think I will be needing lots of face and body makeup on the day!

oh this is good. i am not the only one who has come down with a case of serious klutziness.

so far i have: gnashed my leg on a branch during our photo e-session (wouldn't stop bleeding during the rest of the shoot)

whacked my head trying to get out of my car, a pretty small gash but thankfully its covered by my hairline.

i keep having visions of falling down my concrete stairs outside my house.

and have become a worse driver than usual.

to top it off, i had laser hair removal a few weeks ago and the estethician messed up and burned part of my face! ahhhh. so i'm frantically putting on lotions and stuff (they promised to fix it but we'll see)

    i feel like i have bride-brain.

Yeah I'm anticipating the same thing happening to me when my date gets closer. I'm such a klutz already, I can only imagine what my trip down the aisle is going to look like. I even fell down the stairs a couple days ago. Thought I broke my arm. Really I just badly bruised and scraped it. What a klutz!

MJ, I am not getting married until next summer, but I totally understand... We live in a house that used to be his bachlor pad, needless to say it has bumpy panted wall treatments that I scrap myself on all the time.  I will cut corners to close, run my leg into the wall beside the bed, I hit my hips on doors, and the island in the kitchen is evil in my mind... I really think that I have this mentality that my body takes up less space than what it does... I dont know.. my FH has joked about putting me in a bubble so I dont get hurt... maybe ill try bubble wrap!

I was bitten by a dog one week before my wedding, talk about stress leading up to disaster. I had to get on antibiotics and the worst part was that I couldn't wear my engagement ring and during the ceremony I had to squeeze my wedding band on a swollen finger. But in the end I look back at it and laugh.

I can't really offer any advice, just support!

I can totally relate... only I'm a klutz on a daily basis. I just bought a new mandoline I had to wear oven mitts while I was putting the thing together because everytime I touch something sharp, I slice my hand open. I go for stitches about once every 2 months. I wish I was joking... Oh and even with the mitts on, I ended up puncturing my forearm.

I fall up the stairs, I slide down the stairs, I trip on air, slam my limbs into walls, ledges and other people. If there is a way to get hurt- I'll find it.

    Take care!

Hahah I am a HUGE klutz, and short of wrapping my limbs in bubble wrap I have NO idea how i'm going to cover the inevitable bruises I'll be sporting on my legs, as the dress will only show them off more!

Try aloe for your cuts once they are closed, will help keep them from drying & cracking before they're fully healed. The more a scab is picked at, split or reformed the higher the chances of it leaving a scar.

I was SO paranoid I'd take a major spill and sprain/twist/break something.  Seriously, walking up stairs terrified me!  I'm so happy I was injury-free through the wedding and honeymoon!

Oh here's something fabulous to add to the list of things to watch out for before the wedding: Watch out for hot surfaces! lol

A couple months ago I was ironing my drapes & I put the iron on the board behind me. Well... I backed up to look at my crisp drapes & I burned the hell out of the skin right above my elbow. I still have a bright red pointed arrow shape (the tip of the iron) on my arm- it looks like I was branded! Its about 2 inches long & you can't miss it... it's hideous & I'll probably have it for life.

This is one of my biggest fears! I scratch/scrape easily and take forever to heal, plus I'm a klutz. I'm always scraping my knuckles on the wardrobe door or something similarly stupid. (My FI has no idea how I manage these special feats, he thinks it's quite amazing how many ways I can come up with to injure myself around the house.)

My resolution for next summer is to sit quietly in the shade. Until 2 October. Then I'm going to run through a rose bush or something, for sheer relief!

My best friend broke her ankle in 2 places 3 weeks before her wedding. Yes, it was at her Bach party and she was doing a complicated shot on top of the bar which didn't end well.

So she was obviously in a cast for her wedding, but instead of it being an awful experience she really made the most of it. Her Dad and Brother each grabbed an arm and hopped her down the aisle and once she and her husband were married, instead of grabbing the crutches her husband scooped her up and carried her out of the church. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen at a wedding! The rest of the night was a blast too - they had such a great time!

A week before the wedding I did a belly flop-on grass with rocks in it. Bruised my belly (luckily no one could see those bruises) and scrapped my hands and arms. Then 3 days before the wedding I broke one of my fingernails down so far it bled. Luckily the nail tech was able to fix it. You can't even tell it's broke. At the rehersal dinner, I opened the fridge and something fell from off the top and landed on my nose. Thank goodness no bruise there! It just hurt for a little while! I think at that point, my MIL wanted to put me in a bubble until the ceremony. She wouldn't let me get too close to the firepit that night!

I actually got hit by a car while bicycling last week.  The car wasn't going very fast, and I didn't think I'd been injured.  However, I've now got a big bruise on the back of one arm.  I'm seriously hoping it fades before the wedding day!

My legs are covered in bruises from our recent move!  Also apparently I developed right foot tendonitis and now can't run and am relegated to wearing running shoes for a few weeks!

I am a huge klutz and FI always jokes that I am going to trip down the aisle!

I've got 3 scars on my left ankle from an escalator that attacked me.  Good thing my dress will be long.
