Many flowers can be dyed blue, but if it's a flower you love there is nothing wrong with using it.
If you love hydrangea, use them. You could do a mixture of blue flowers though to make it a bit unique.

Hydrangeas are quintessential new england (I'm from Boston), they are classic. It's the only flower I can think of that grows so openly on Cape Cod. I say, if you want blue, and you want New England, go for the hydrangea. You will love seeing those summer colors when you look through your pictures in 50 years!
Good luck!
Thanks Goizzy, those are beautiful. I think I will still include hydrangeas, but I'd love to include other blue flowers to mix it up and those are beautiful!!!!
if you love hydrangeas, i say use them. they're such a pretty flower.
@GoIzzy: nicely done, delphiniums were going to be my blue flower suggestion.

I really wnat to use hydrangeas in my New England beach wedding, but I am worried that they are overdone in this area. Does anyone have any suggestions on pretty blue flowers?
