My best friend is throwing me a baby shower and she sent out evites. She told me that the RSVP’s were hidden, so only she could see them. So, I RSVP’d ‘ye’s so that she could get an accurate head count. Well, turns out everyone CAN see the RSVP’s and now I feel stupid for RSVPing to my own shower. Will people think this is weird that the guest of honour RSVPd for her own shower? Especially cuz the inviation talks about celebrating with the ‘beautiful mom to be’ etc. I feel like a tool for RSVPing.

I actually think people would think it was odd if you stayed in the “Not yet RSVP’d” column. But if anyone questions it, just blame it on baby brain. 🙂

I don’t think anyone will care.

@jules28: I actually think that was the right thing to do! You are still a guest and she is using the RSVPs to track count (even though she was probably already counting you) so it makes it easier for her. I really wouldn’t worry about it. Plus, I seriously doubt anyone even thought twice about it when they saw that!

I RSVPS’d to mine too. Also for head count. I don’t want to be forgotten when they go over the numbers!

I RSVPd to mine. I think it’s only weird if people think it’s a surprise for osme reason.

If you weren’t ment to RSVP then why would you be sent an evite? If you didn’t respond you’d still be in the Maybe or Hasn’t Responded list, whatever that site calls it. I think it would be weird if it was like “umm is the guest of honor even going to be there?”
