So I loved my dress when I got it and tried it on, but then when I got home I made the mistake of trying it on without the right kind of bra at home and I did this a few times. So I started to get upset thinking it didn’t look right and that I was way too heavy for the dress.
So when I went with my girls to look at dress’s for them I brought my wedding dress along with me because I was very close to returning it. That’s how upset I was.
I was told I could add anything I wanted to my dress, which at the time I couldn’t wrap my head around how you could add things.
So we played with a bunch of different stuff and I decided to add a petticoat under it as well as what they call sleeves and put on the right type of bra AND what a relief I felt so much better.
What do you bee’s think? With the petticoat and sleeve’s or without it?
Sorry if the pictures are big.

@oxstardust421xo: The dres looks beautiful, I’d add the sleeve because they add a bit of decoration to the dress, but I’d axe the petticoat, you have very pretty lines and the petticoat just seems to bury them. Show off what you’ve got don’t try to hide it! You look georgous!

TBH I can’t tell the difference with/without the petticoat. I do like the sleeves, though; I think they add a little ‘something’ whereas without it is a bit plain (unless you plan on fancy accessories)

@loving_life: I’m going to wear a pearl necklace and the headpiece has pearls in it as well.

I don’t like those sleeves or the top of the dress at all–it’s not doing anything to flatter you. It looks great from the waist down, but the straight across neckline is not anyone’s friend. If you really want some visual interest up top, have it altered to a sweetheart and maybe throw on a pretty lace bolero. I love these (from Tulip Bridal): 1, 2, 3.

I love the changes! It adds just enough to make it interesting without taking away from the simplicity of the dress.
