I was waiting for a light to change so I could cross the highway. A semi truck somehow hit a van which consequently lost control and drove right over the median where I was. Thankfully I was no longer there because the guy behind me managed to push both of us out of the way. I was sprayed with gravel and debris, but I was not injured. I’m still a little freaked out but very grateful to be alive. I keep hugging my spouse and my cats. Nothing like a near-death experience to make you appreciate what you have.

@IrisBlue: I’m so glad you are ok. Nothing like an incident like that to make you count your blessings and see things in a new light!

(Hugs) So grateful that you are ok. That must have been terrifying.

oh my goodness, how scary! Glad you are okay. I got in an accident once that drove me up onto a median where people frequent stand to cross with the light. I was so freaked out to get out of my car because I didn’t want to know if I had hit anyone. Luckily I had not, but there was a group of people walking that way when it had happened.

Thank goodness that guy was there!

Thank God you’re okay! I was literally run over in 2008 a block from my house walking home from school. An older woman turned on a red light onto the street I was crossing(I had the right of way) and I fell on the hood of her car, she sped up when I was ontop of it and it flung me onto the ground where her front left tire ran up my leg and was sitting on my breast for 10 seconds(she would of kept going if it wasnt for a guy running out of his car telling her to stop because I was under her car) How do you NOT feel a person under your tire?! You do feel VERY grateful after something near-death happens.

Holy crap! Glad you’re ok! Thank goodness for that other guy. I totally know the feeling – I almost choked to death on a stupid bite of bratwurst a year ago. It was absolutely lodged in my airway, I couldn’t breath at all, I almost went to a bathroomt to try to cough more. Then I realized, DUH, I needed the damn Heimlich in the next minute or I was going to pass out and die. My friend totally saved my life. I was so shaken up and adrenilated for the rest of the day. Scary!!!!

@paula1248: Yeah, unfortunately my house and my work are on opposite sides of a highway from each other, and my car needs something replaced before I can drive it.
@PinkL: Omg how awful!

Wow, you were lucky that guy saved you! I hope you can get that part of your car fixed ASAP, sounds like a dangerous place to cross! So glad you’re okay :). You should tell your local news about that guy saving you. Its always nice to read good news in the news!
I’ve almost been hit by people running red lights, driving in the opposite direction, people trying to merge into me & people pulling out in front of me & stopping sideways when I’m going 30MPH. So glad my horn works, its saved me many times! When I first started dating my now DH, he was crossing the street & a cop almost hit him! Granted, DH was jay-walking & I literally pulled him back & said “saved your life!” & it was true!

I’m super glad you are okay… that’s terrifying.
But now for something lighthearted to hopefully make you smile… was it Edward Cullen?
