Yep…I almost lost my engagement ring (but not my wedding band) in the bathroom. For ten minutes, I was in a panic! I looked everywhere. I thought that I had flushed it down the toilet. Luckily, I found it laying on the ground. I am especially relieved because my wedding set is a gift from my mother and DH. I immediately texted my DH after I found it. Haha. I am SO relieved!

Close call. Glad you found it.

Glad you found it! I don’t sleep with my rings, and I woke up one morning and found that my wedding band was missing and my engagement ring was on the floor. My kitten had got ahold of them. I could not find my band anywhere and went an entire day at work thinking the kitten swallowed my band or something, only to come home to DH digging it out from under the bed. We also found about $5 in change under the bed…so my kitten is a thief. lol

bearbear1: all the feels for you. I remember my heart seemed to skip a beat when I legit lost my ring at the subway station the day after we got engaged.
Also remember the immense feeling of relief when I found it dinged up, but otherwise fine. I had to sidle up and snatch it steath like so no one would see it and get it first.
The empathy is real.

Glad you found it! I lost an engagement ring before and it’s a terrible feeling

bearbear1: Oh no terrible feeling but so glad tou found it. When i first got engaged i would take off my ring to put on lotion, wash my hands or do dishes to “not get it dirty” and put it back on immediately.
Well i once went to get my car washed and while waiting for my turn to pull up i decided to put on some hand lotion and not wanting to get any on my ring i took it off as usual and placed it in the cup holder. Well i guess i forgot to put it back on this time and half way home i realized this. I felt me heart drop and blood rush to my face. I frantically looked around the car and kept looking at my finger in disbelief! I was freaked out, then started thinking the guys at the car wash had surely taken it or the vacum had sucked it up! I flipped a U turn and as I kept checking my finger I was trying to figure out what to say to the guys at the car wash (didnt want to wrongly accuse). Anyways as soon as i was about to get off i saw it!! Layin on the floor of the car inbetween the passanger seat and cup holder! Lets say i learned my leason and its a TERRIBEL feeling! To this day i am CONSTANTLY checking my finger

I usually put my ring in my pocket when I take it off at work (in a lab), but one day it wasn’t in my pocket and I started panicking about whether or not I left it on my desk. Luckily, it was there. But I’m still new to this ring thing, so I’m extra paranoid.

My brother was visiting me and my bf now fiance one summer and he left his earring on his duffle bag. My dog thought it was a tasty treat ate one of his earrings and guess where I found his second earring? in my dogs dry food dish. haha funny story. I had to check my dog’s poo everyday until my dog poop out my brothers earing. I don’t take off my rings.

Oh, no! I would have lost my mind. Sometimes, when I sleep my glasses fall on the floor or behind the bed, and I’m almost blind without them so I start panicking because I can’t see anything to find them!
You should create a special place in your bathroom for your ring.. you could make or buy something to put your ring on. Everytime I shower, I put my ring on the rods of our towel holder, we have one like this :
So i kind of have to coil my ring around the spiral that was if I bump it, it won’t fall off!

- Wedding: January 2014 - Lizard Island, Australia
I nearly lost my wedding ring at Arlington Cemetery. We were visiting from England. Sat in the visitors centre I put my ring on my lap to apply hand cream. I remember as I put it there thinking now be careful! Next thing I knew it had slipped off and disappeared. I was completely panicked we got down on the floor to look for it but couldn’t see it. It was busy and I was worried about it getting stood on or someone finding it and taking it. A few people joined into help us look (I wasn’t really looking by this point I was just stood there nearly crying convinced it was gone forever)
Much to my massive relief my husband found it. It had travelled quite far and got right by the doors in. It still scares me how close I came to losing it and I learnt to not take it off in public again!

I hate the feeling you get when you think you’ve lost your ring forever! I’ve had a few scares too, so let’s just say I keep that ring on my as much as possible now!
