@deanda.anjelica: I organize several destination weddings each year and recommend hitting the social networks (facebook/twitter) for starters to get reviews on the venues, or a general google search which normally include email addresses of reviewees. Once your venue is locked in I highly recommend, if time and money permits, a previsit to the location.
