Ok. It is official that I need help. I have already bought 2 wedding dresses because I was A) ambivalent at first regarding what I wanted B) pressured by the sales person and C) can not resist what I *think* is a good bargain.
Needless to say, I do not have a neverending cashflow to keep buying wedding gowns, and now I need to hopefully sell the two I bought online or something.
So here is my plea to all you bees: PLEASE help me find/decide on the right, and LAST dress I buy!!!
I am hung up on two dresses in particular, Allure dress style 2306 and WToo dress style Dulconee 15558.
The dilemma you ask? I love the top on the Allure gown, but prefer the smaller scale of the ruffles on the bottom of the WToo dress. So which do I choose? Mind you, I have not even gone to try them on yet..because every time I go dress shopping I end up buying something, and even my mother has not been able to reign me in…
At this point, the only thing tipping the scale in favor of one over the other is the price tag on the Allure gown. Significantly cheaper than the WToo. No idea how big a difference there is in quality of materials/workmanship between the two brands.
So what do you think bees?

Do you have pics of YOU in the dresses? It makes a big difference.

@SanDiegoAli: No, I’m scared to go try them on since I keep buying everything!!! I am petite though, 5’1″ so I’m worried ruffles that are too big and poofy will make me look shorter. The other dresses I already bought have the same silhouette, one is a fit and flare the other a slim fitting A line, just without all the ruffles!!!

Hey fellow crazy dress buyer! As a 4 dress bride myself why are you even buying a dress now! you will have 100 by your wedding! LOL
I like the 1st dress By The Way something about how the ruffles fall

Yea I would wait until you try them on. Just don’t bring your wallet? lol. Tell the sales lady right away that you are here to try on two gowns, and will be making no decisions today.

I prefer the second dress, but its impossible to tell until you try them on

Personally, I would learn to love one of the ones I already have, but if from the two that you are showing us, I prefer the first one.

As far out as you are, don’t buy anything else right now. Sit on the dresses you already have for a couple of months. Try them back on. THEN figure out what you want to do.

Ahh you still have lots of time!!!!!!!! I’d wait until the end of the year…. sleep many nights on it hehehe….
Try to focus on selling your two dresses now, and wait until the end of the year to decide on your new one!

Hello, my name is Diana and I am a fellow addict.
I bought 1 dress, changed my mind, bought another one, donated the first one to BABC, bought a third one, bought a fourth one and just sold the second one.
If I had just pooled all the money I’ve spent on 4 dresses, I could probably have a couture gown by now… I can’t tell you to stop looking and stop buying, because I’d be a hypocrite.
That said, my 3rd dress is kind of like those 2, and I’m selling it. Wanna buy it?!? LOL. No seriously. Buy it from me.

Yeah I bought three dresses myself…And put deposits on two others that I never bought. I know how awful it can be! I agree with the others to give yourself some time though. One dress that I ordered, I felt awful the minute I left the store. I was just so panicked and in a time crunch that I couldn’t think straight, people were pressuring me to make a decision etc etc…I came home, cried, and put the dress up for sale immediately. I didn’t even tell the Hive about it I was so embarrassed. Guess what happened after that? The dress arrived, I decided to wear for it for my reception instead of selling it and it ended up being my favorite among all of them.

@crayfish: I agree. I need to cool it or something, and stop scouring the internet for different/new dresses then try the other 2 I already bought back on, and start over. I just seem to have developed this obsessive compulsive behavior all of a sudden over the dress…it’s insane! In the beginning I didn’t even care much about the whole affair, I was just indifferent with no clue what I liked and now I’m dresszilla….LOL

It depends on your wedding venue and the vibe of your wedding. Dress 1 looks more traditional to me, more of a church wedding and hotel reception. Dress 2 is more outdoorsy – garden or beach or vineyard venue.
They’re both really pretty, but the looks are pretty different (despite being similar – if that makes sense!).
