So I know I’m not the only girl to put on their wedding ensemble whenever they are having a down day…I can’t be (I sure hope the passer-bys enjoy seeing me prance around my apartment in my dress though, because I definitely don’t close the window to do this). I blame grad school…it puts me in a bad mood.
After getting home from my most recent awful exam I decided I needed a pick-me-up and tried on my dress and necklace and realized…I am WAY more excited about my necklace than my dress.
How awful is that?! I mean I love my dress and think it looks good on me and it makes me feel pretty and all….but I am absolutely GIDDY about my necklace. Like giggling, flapping arms, take it out to look at it all the time giddy.
My bride card should be revoked.

lol, you are funny.
I haven’t decided on my jewelry yet, but I can imagine myself doing the same thing 🙂

Haha – ‘prance around’. Why would this make you a bad bride? I love accessories, ESPECIALLY necklaces – and the wedding is probably one of the few chances girls get to go all out with beautiful, sometimes expensive, jewelry and accessories that normal life doesn’t call for. I was excited to have a less-embellished dress so I could be freer with the jewelry!

LOL, I am more excited about my veil. Even though my dress is my dream dress, I can’t get my veil out of my head. I have always wanted a french silk tulle veil, but never thought I could afford it. Well I found a lady to make me one way below what I was expecting to pay. I day dream about this veil. I thought I was crazy not to be as excited about the dress as the veil, but I am keeping my “Bride Card” for now as I am not alone.

I never thought of wearing around the house or using it to cheer me up. I will have to keep that in mind.
Since you love your necklace so much, you should show it to us! I am curious to see it. I’m still looking for mine.

show us the necklace!
(and I do the same thing with my ensemble. I still need to find a necklace, but I’d say I do just as much prancing!)

I know that I tend to prefer the icing over the cake and accessories are the icing on an outfit! No shame in that! I’m waiting excitedly for the necklace I just bought to come in the mail & I hope I like it as much as you like yours!

I was, and am, way more excited about my earrings than my dress. My husband bought the earrings and sent them over as a gift while we were getting ready on the day-of. From the moment I set eyes on them, I knew we would be in love forever lol. I love my dress, but we never got that feelings with each other haha. And I knew my future unborn children wouldn’t want my dress – the styles will probably change, their sizes will probably be different, etc. But I am positive I can pass on those earrings forever.

You guys are great, glad I’m not the only one!
I will gladly show off my necklace! I keep asking FI if I can show it to him, but he won’t budge. I am awful at keeping secrets when I’m so excited.
The necklace is originally from J. Crew but we got it on Ebay for an amazing price.
bug-in-a-rug: I did the same thing! It’s like I knew from the start I would be obsessed with my jewelry.

Damn. I’d be excited to wear that too; it’s a great necklace!
Also, I definitely have pulled out my dress on a down day. Unfortunately it is currently living at my parent’s house, so I can’t do that anymore.

I’m way more excited about my bouquet and fascinator than I am about my dress. My dress is great, but my accessories are divine. Here’s my dirty little secret: I love my prom dress more than my wedding dress. If only I was still small enough to wear it!

I am super excited about my sunglasses. I’m not even kidding! (Sounds so funny…) But I searched forever for some vintage rhinestone ones. (I have super sensitive blue eyes.)
