Good on you!    I planted dahlias last year -and ended up getting many compliments from neighbors.  I knew I didn’t have enough room to plant enough, but was hoping for some great colors, and we did use a few of them -especially on the arbor, which was kind of special!

Good luck!  That’s such a good idea, and something fun to do while wedding planning.

I’m planting a few of my own too, but I know I’ll have to buy some as well.  Good luck πŸ™‚

We grew our own lavender for the reception.  The only pain was transporting it for the 12 hour drive to the wedding site, but if you don’t have to contend with a long transport, things should go well!

I’m planning on doing this myself!

I’ll be planting some dhalia & day lilly bulbs as soon as the frost leaves the ground [darn zone 3!!] I’m hoping that they’ll establish nicely this year and be well producing next summer for our wedding.

Good luck!

That is the ultimate DIY- I love it and good luck. it will be a fun experience if nothing else.

My dad offered to plant some flowers for my wedding, but have not taken him up on the offer.  That would involve me making a decision on my colors…which has not happened yet πŸ™‚

I think that’s fabulous.  I am thinking about putting in hydrangeas for next years wedding.  Just have a backup plan.  Best wishes.

I am growing my own too!  Just make sure you don’t start them too soon, I am growing callas, and my SMIL told me I might have started the bulbs too soon…  I think it is very sweet and romantic to grow your own!  Good luck, best wishes!

My mom is growing our flowers πŸ™‚ 50flowers is also our backup plan. Yay!

I went out of my way to find flowers that are naturally in season where I live – did you too?

That’s what I’m doing too!  My Dad is like a compulsive gardener, and he offered to plant and grow all the flowers for the reception πŸ™‚
