Healthy vibes heading your way!

I know this is the LAST thing you want to hear but try to get some rest, if at all possible. It’s the best thing you can do for your body!

Find yourself some Thayer’s Slippery Elm Bark Lozenges and gobble them down like they are going out of style. Throat Coat Tea by Traditional Medicinals helps as well. I got laryngitis the week before my senior voice recital in college, and I swear these two products are what brought it back!

Both are available at Whole Foods and other health-food and high-end grocery stores.

Good luck!!

@MrsDTMajor:  Oh no thats horrible! If I were you, drink a lot of hot tea & try not to talk too much. Save your voice. I hope you get better fast!!!

Also — these didn’t work for me, but I’ve heard great things from other singer friends:

  • ginger tea (plenty of sliced raw ginger steeped in boiling water) with honey
  • tea with whisky — apparently it kills the bacteria and such

And lastly, Mucinex works wonders if you have post-nasal drip.

Feel better!

Healthy Vibes heading your way!!!

Vitamin C will help you to fight the cold. Drink natural juices to rehydrate

I would tell you to gargle with warm salt water, but you already have plans to go to the doctor, who will give you something for the pain.

Try to get some rest   (sleep)… I know it is hard if you have last minute things to deal with.

i am kind of feeling your pain…

Saturday, i decided to rebel against my diet and had all kinds of crappy food when I went out with the FI to the movies…. and lo and behold, it has given me the worst diarrhea!!! TMI, I know. I took Imodium, and now I am so bloated!!!

And to top it off, I could get my period on the day of….

SIGH to be a girl!

You will be okay. Think of it this way: better to have it hit now and have this week to recuperate, than to have it hit you on Saturday!

Also, instead of thinking of your wedding as “the most important day of your life,” try to adopt an approach of thinking of it as “just the beginning.” After all, you wouldn’t want to peak on Day One and have the rest of the marriage be downhill from there, right? Just a way of taking some of the pressure off, and lowering your stress is really important if you want to be healed up by the weekend.

Best of luck to you!

Yep me too!!!   I think it’s a result of being totally relaxed now after so many months of planninng and being consumed by everything that is wedding related!!! I have nothing more to do other than the beauty treatments I am treating myself to this week.
