@AB Bride:  it usually says “grid lines” on the tag. 🙂 I love that kind!!

@AB Bride:  haha my only advice is don’t tape the wrapping paper to the present. DH always does this and it drives me nuts!

The label will usually indicate “cutting lines” if the wrong side is marked.

I love gift wrapping sooo much. It’s a little obscene.

I loooooove gift wrapping. My family goes all out with ribbons, bows and decorations on each package. DH’s family is oober simple. Wrapping paper, check. Name tag, check. Done. It bores me a little. 😛

I wrapped the first two Christmas presents of the year so badly that DH has taken over wrapping of all the gifts.  I’d call that a win for me!

@AB Bride:  haha this post made me giggle.  DH has never wrapped a gift before. Our first dating xmas he had our female friend wrap my gifts.  The next  year he moved 1 1/2 hours away so he had to wrap his own if the store didnt offer. He said he watched youtube videos for 3 hours before he figured out how to wrap a gift!!

DH always used to go on a wrapping bender on Christmas Eve, but he’s given me the pleasure of wrapping this year. I’m not the greatest at it (I’ve had no practice, lol), but I love doing it.

@AB Bride:  I don’t know if it’s EASIER, but if the paper shifts while you’re wrapping it (which it ALWAYS does), then at least it doesn’t make the whole package look warped and crooked. DH’s presents always look like poo, haha. I figure I’d rather the paper not be 100% tight but the present look decent, then to have it super tight but kinda crooked and off-centered!

@iarebridezilla:  Huh. I tape the paper to the present and my paper is always perfectly centered? Maybe I’m just a gift wrap badass lol.

I can only wrap square/rectangular boxes though. I envy those who can neatly wrap odd-shaped packages. I always just stick them in a larger box rather than deal with the hassle.

@Little_Nut88:  My FI does that too!  He would occasionaly be in charge of gift wraping at the book store he worked at.  He has been made official gift wrapper of our house.
