Oh, I can't tell you how extremely excited I am! It's a spur of the moment trip, when I realized last week I could fly to see my grandparents (they spend winters in the south) for $100 each way.

So, now plans are set and i'm leaving two weeks from tomorrow for FIVE AND A HALF DAYS.

I haven't been on vacation since I started working full time 3 years ago and I cannot wait.

I will be going from about 20 degree weather to the 70s!!

It will be some nice alone time to just relax on the beach by myself with a good book. Plus, I'm really close to my grandparents and can't wait to see them either :)

I just hope SO misses me so much (this will be the longest we've been apart in 2 years together) that he has a ring waiting when I get home - HA!

Sorry, I am just too excited & had to share.

Are any of you able to go on vacation this winter or have anything planned this summer?

You are so lucky!! I live at the beach in NC, but its still pretty cold here :( I know what you mean about needing a vacation! I'm a full-time preschool teacher with FIFTEEN 3 year olds every day! I need a get-away sooo BAD!! But, I guess that's going to have to wait until the honeymoon in June!

@JennBug89: Holy moly!! I have a couple of friends who are involved with child care and I don't know how they could ever want any of their own, lol ;) It takes a lot of work and patience!

That sounds fun!

I was just gone for 7 days and when I got back FH said "Thank god you are home, I need a food detox"... I cook healthy and often and he must have done takeout the whole time I was gone.

My MOH and I are going on a cruise at the end of March and I am just counting down the days! I will miss FI, but I won't miss working! :D

@TinyTina: Ahhhh, cruise!! I LOVE cruises, where are you going? Is it awful that I'm ready to get away from SO for awhile? We've kinda had a rough week or two and I'm just ready to get outta here.

AND... update..... I am currently in 30-40 degree weather and am going to mid 70 degree weather and I'll be right on the beach.. and the forecast? RAIN EVERY SINGLE FREAKING DAY. Well, except for the day I get there and the day before I leave. Ohh I am going to be checking it obsessively, I hope it doesn't rain the whole time, ugh!!!
