Aww those little mistakes are fun! On our third date SO and I ended up at a grocery store and I gave him my “club card”for a discount and the guy called him “mr. Mylastname” haha! A little too much pressure for a third date maybe 🙂

That’s so funny!

I have a gold pass to Dollywood, so I get a discount on food.  Whenever my SO buys food when we’re there he’ll use my pass, and they’ll always say, “Thank you Mr. Dance.”  I also chuckle and point out how well my last name goes with his first name, but he’s not having it.

I was in a car dealership once with my boyfriend a year or two ago when his car was in for maintenance. Someone kept calling out,  “Mrs. (His last name),” but I thought nothing of it. Finally I turned around and realized he was giving me the strangest stare. We’d been dating 2 or 3 years then.

lol I love it when people assume SO and I are married. He ordered a few suits for work about 6 months ago and since I live closer to the store I picked it up during the week and the guy called me Mrs. Hislastname and told me if my husband had any problems to contact him. Ah, someday lol

My dog got sick while my SO and I were dating.  Because she is my dog, the vet has her last name as my last name for her records.  My SO worked from home a lot but my job was not as flexible so he took her to appointments while I was at work.  If he called them for updates they got confused because no animal was registered with his last name and he would have to explain which dog he was asking about.  Eventually he just started calling in saying this is Mr. (MyLastName) so they knew which dog he meant.  I cracked up!

For you waiting ladies, my SO acted a bit strangely about the costs of treatment for the dog (she ended up needing surgery).  He took wonderful care of her while she was sick but did seem a bit shocked when we got the bill.  Not that he didn’t think she was worth it but he was just more concerned than normal about the cost.  I thought it was strange but didn’t put it together until a few weeks later when he proposed.  Poor guy had saved up and bought a ring and then my dog got sick and we had to use more of our savings.  I had tried to tell him not to worry as I would pay for the expenses since she was my dog but he knew that when we got married it didn’t actually matter who paid for it!  Perhaps a clue to watch out for –  If he seems more concerned than normal with budgeting or finances he may have bought a ring!

I totally signed a wedding guest book His Name, My Name Rush. Because i figure we will be married within a few years so i may as well just sign us as a couple LOL!

And people around the neighbourhood always call him my husband anyway.  I think i am used to it by now.
