Long story short, my Fiance broke his phone…
That also meant that he had no alarm for the morning! He lives with my parents currently but he gets up in between when they have to get up, and I have no old alarm clock in my childhood bedroom for him to use…
My mom comes home late that night after visiting her friend and suddenly realizes the coffee pot is missing. She doesn’t think too much of it. Then when she wakes up in the morning, after my Fiance has left for work, she goes into the kitchen to see the pot (not the maker) sitting on the counter with a bit of leftover coffee in it….
She finally figured out that my little einstein used the COFFEEPOT as his alarm clock. Unplugged it from the kitchen, lugged it upstairs, and set the timer on THAT to make coffee when he needed to be woken up! (I will not tell him that you can download free internet alarm clocks to put on your computer lol.)
Frankly, I LOVE this idea. I normally get my coffee and then crawl back into bed for about 15 mins with facebook and weddingbee to ease myself into the morning. Why not just ALWAYS keep a coffeepot in the bedroom? Wake up to the soothing sounds and smells of a brewing pot of coffee… oh yeah. This is happening on the regular!!!
