- Wedding: June 2013
We have spent so much on this wedding. Way more than I ever imagined… We have taken out a line of credit to help. Honestly, the line of credit doesn’t freak me out THAT much, I know we will be able to handle it after the wedding. We will even be managing to save for a house at the same time so that, a year (or two) from now, we will be debt free with thousands of dollars in savings for our house.
But why do I let myself obsess over a cake stand? A stupid 30$ porcelain cake stand. Apparently, the cake is not enough; I need an elevated cake stand for the cake table to be perfect.
Another thing is the ceremony backdrop. The background is a streaming river with lush green grass all around with some trees. We originally thought ”Let’s just let nature shine, we don’t need any decor”… And now I am thinking of defining an altar, more $$$…
Why am I letting (and have let) the wedding industry pressure me into thinking I need all these things for the perfect wedding..? Why do I let myself pressure myself into spending more money?
Bees, please tell me I am not alone 🙁
It’s crunch time and I am so stressed…
