So today, after I leave the tanning bed (yes, 1st off I know its bad) but I realize that I have these dark spots on my cheeks. I bought some Garnier sun spot remover but it can take up to 2-3 weeks to start showing results (better than nothing though, right?!) Does anyone have ANY at home remedies or anything I can use…. I’m getting married in 19 DAYS!!!!! =(

I don’t think there is anything at home that you can do to get rid of them in a few weeks. You either need to go to a doctor or invest in some good quality makeup to cover it up.

Works like a charm:
1. Honey + lemon mixture.
2. 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder+1tsp honey made into a paste.
3. Margosa powder + holy basil powder + honey equal mixture applied overnight.
4. To promote circulation in the area, apply local massage using margosa oil/mahanarayan tailam/aswagandha tailam/jatyadi tailam for 5-10 minutes.

Lemon juice can help fade dark spots on the skin. I use it religiously anytime I get an acne scar. It isn’t a miracle worker but it does help.

Do you have a history of melasma? If that’s what you have, I’m pretty sure there is no quick fix, you’ll just need to invest in some good makeup, and STAY OUT OF THE SUN!

Thanks for the advice. My grandmother said that dandruff shampoo works.. weird?? haha. But I am going to try that too.. and she also said lemon juice.. maybe I should go with lemon scented dandruff shampoo (hardy-haha-haha) =)

Dandruff shampoo also worksk to remove hair color gone wrong, my friends Mom who is a stylist told me this (and she was right). I have actually also used soft scrub bleach on my skin before when it was dyed by clothing (usually on my hands) and it worked like a charm. I know that’s not as safe as lemon juice, but if you’re desparate..
