How significant of a size difference will you have after your breast augmentation? I think it would be smarter to allow room for your new "girls" as it will be easier to take the dress in as you lose weight. That dress is also form fitting around the hips so it might be better to order the size you would need now, and then have it altered once you are closer to your wedding.
Congrats on the GORGEOUS dress, I love it and I'm sure it is going to look fantastic on you!
The dress is gorgeous!!
I would say let them measure you. it is a lot of pressure to try to fit into a gown if you order it too small. I'd be sure to tell them about your upcoming surgery though because that could make the difference between one size and the next. I was mortified about the size dress that was ordered for me (I am a street 12/14 and they ordered a 20) but I knew I didn't want the pressure of having to squeeze into something so I let them ordered what they thought was appropriate. First fitting was saturday and lets just say the gown is huge- lots of alterations to be made, but again better that than worrying about not eating for the next few months.
LOVE IT!! Absolutely stunning and I'm sure will look gorgeous on you!! I think your goal is like he said, doable, as long as you put the effort into it. From your date, you have a little bit of time to wait to order but don't wait too long. Depending on the designer, you could need anywhere from a month to 7 months to get the dress in.
I would try it on and get an idea of what size you are now and what you could be in a few months and after surgery. Like I said, you have time to wait before ordering and if you're serious about losing weight, that's a couple dress sizes. Maybe wait til after surgery and/or after a month or so of dieting to order? To be safe, I would look at 15 lbs just in case, I mean anything could happen, and that way if it's too big you can have it altered. It's easier to take it in than to let it out or get a new one.
Yay, I'm so happy you found "the dress"!! Hope this helps!!
It's stunning, congrats!
I would say order one size larger than what would work for you now, unless it's a corset back, in which case I think you'll be fine. You can always get it altered in, but it's much more damaging and difficult to have it let out.
Such a gorgeous dress! I'd get it so that it'd fit your new "assets" but I think you really need to try it on. Because the dress is so fitted, as someone said earlier, I'm tempted to say to order it in your current weight and then have it altered to the weight you end up being closer to the wedding. It's always easier to order a dress larger and get it altered smaller than the other way around.
Thanks ladies!!! I called the salon and they said they would take my measurements and suggest a few sizes up, I normally would fit into an 8 but she said go with a 12. Like you bees said its better to take it in a little rather than take it out
Congrats on the dress! The breast augmentation would take you up anywhere from 2-4 sizes depending on how big you're going. Although they will order for your largest measurement anyways, so if for example your hips are 2 sizes bigger than your bust right now, it will just even out and no need to order too much larger.
I tried on that dress!! Im a size 12 and it looked great it was just the wrong colouring! that was my only deciding factor also and the price tag.
Congrats! I am sooo stoked for you shannon!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
love that dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soo excited for you :D
haha I was hoping you would chime in @cerbre especially with the honorable mention lol. O and Thanks!!! I swoon when I see it. And I cant wait to see u in urs
@shannon: sorry I was late! I was at the gym. I love the color of it, did you chose that latte type color? It is stunning!!!
lol no worries! Yes I did chose that color!!! Thats what I loved loved loved about it
YAY I adore that color!!!! Good choice!! And what size girlies are you going with, trust me when I say that us DDs have more fun :P
hehehe I am currently rocking a 34 A and the doc and I had a little chit chat and realized I would like a full C or D cup so thats the direction we are heading. I am super nervous bc I have never had ANY surgery or dental work or anything like that
Ds are fun too (I'm a 36DD or 38D) Trust me when I say when up high they get you great things (I have gotten plenty of drinks and free things because of a Victoria's secret push up bra :D) lol!! Okay enough tata talk, I'm sure you'll be fine, definitely give yourself time to heal and i think you'll be fine.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats hilarious!!!! Duly noted advice!!!! I am making sure I have at least 4-5 months to recover so I should be good. thanks
This dress is sexy, classy, beautiful! Congrats...cant wait to see it on you!

If I may quote @crebre in all her excitement glory today "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" I usually prefer an EEEEEP but but the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE fit my over exaggerated squealing that I am doing on the inside! Today at approximately 5:45 CST I will be ordering my dress!!!!!!! After much debating and thousands of man hours in search of something I truly didnt think I would ever second guess, I did it! I found the dress that I always feel the need to stare at, seriously I even keep pictures on my phone. Oddly when I found it I was looking at color scheme's rather than dresses and there it was, hugging the curves of a beautifull bride sitting with her new husband on green chairs. Thanks to the wonderful-ness (thats a word...google it) of the amazing bee's on WB I found (see this post - http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/complete-long-shot )
I called everyone in all surrounding states and NO ONE had it for me to try on and I was super super sad. But it looked GREAT on the bride I seen it on (see her here - http://www.jessicaclaire.net/index.cfm/catID/3/StartRow/6 its the Liana & Mike Wedding) and we are built very similar so I am just going to go for it and I have never been ok with that until I saw this dress and almost died (ok no literal mortality here but ya know what I'm saying) I am altering it to make it strapless as she did but with more of a sweetheart neckline
One little question though....I am doing some dieting right now (arent we all) and have a goal of 25 lbs to lose and my trainer says that totally doable in 2-3 months bc I have a good metabolism AND I am also getting a breast augmentation in a few months as well (something I have wanting for years and finally decided to do it because I got into the nursing program that I wanted). Ok with all that in mind, what size do I get? My regular size and alter it when I lose weight, a larger size to allow for the new ta-ta's or what
Here is the dress, I am going to keep searching for some place that has it so I can try it on and of course keep you ladies posted
