I agree with @Br1tsh1n1ngStar as well but I also think sometimes things just get overwhelming. I've been there. Maybe instead of making so many desserts, just make 1 or 2. Don't over do it. Will your mom understand if you tell her that you're just feeling overwhelmed and would like to hand the reigns over to someone else??

We completely overindulged during our 2 week honeymoon after overindulging during wedding festivities ... now I feel ... out of it. First of all, I just now and getting over some bad cold + sinus thing that I've had and today I still feel sick and now my mother is asking me what she should make and what will H like and what does his family make .... I know these answers normally .. but all of a sudden, right now, it's like she's speaking another language and it's making my head spin!
For Thanks givings past I always made tons of desserts and had a big voice about what is served ... this time ... not so much.
