I talked with the caterer this morning and she is going to do our reception food for $10 a head… and that is huge!!!!
– Beef Chili
– Chicken ( white) Chili
– mashed potato/sweet potato bar with their sides
– apple cobbler
We are getting married October 20th at a Vineyard and I cannot wait. I think this menu goes great with the venue and time of year and theme of my wedding. Plus I have never read or been to a wedding that served chili as its main course. Something different 🙂
Just wanted to tell someone 🙂 it is all coming together so excited.

I am from NC and the food seems to be cheaper here than everywhere else in the states ( taking that from prices others have given on here). I talked her down I have a budget of around 5-6000 and I am trying to invite 150 or less so I gotta keep my cost low on everything… I am pretty much doing DIY wedding… and I like different stuff…I am not a huge fan of tradition and doing the same stuff as other brides ( which drives my FI up the wall haha bc he is very traditional)

oh ok haha..ya I am in Canada (saskatchewan) and in the city prices are all around $26/person but in a smaller community (like where we are getting married) you can get it for around $18-$20 🙂

Are you going to have bread bowls? They are my FAVE with Chili, maybe you can have mini-bowls.
