*This is not legal advice.*

But the fact that he removed the wrong lump to me, means you shouldn’t have to pay for that procedure.  Contact him ASAP – if he’s a really good, respectable doctor and knows you don’t have insurance, he shouldn’t charge you to get the 2nd lump removed – and I would say that since I’m pretty sure you could sue for him removing the 1st lump, he should probably be accomodating.

Again – NOT LEGAL ADVICE.  But, I would speak to a lawyer if I were you.

@mishagirls79:  +1. That is uncool. That is beyond uncool. I would be furious. I definitely think you have to say something. Quite honestly, I understand the whole honest mistake thing. But performing procedures on the wrong area/body part/etc. can be dangerous and devestating and at the very least it can be a wake-up call for the providers. Good thing you didn’t have to have an ovary removed and they took out the wrong one. Can you imagine how much worse an honest mistake like this would be if it was an organ? Gah. I’m sorry you have to go through that again. Can you ask for better painkillers next time???

Oh my gosh, girl. I am SO sorry. Like what artichokey said…good thing it wasn’t an ovary! I agree, you should’t have to pay for the procedure at all!

*Hugs* I wish I could send you some lortabs!

Is it possible that he removed some lymph tissue around that site, and this has caused swelling of healthy tissue in the surrounding area? lymph tissues are really reactive. I agree with everyone else though, contact him ASAP to see what’s going on.

@ChuckNorris:  That really does suck and I feel like maybe he should compensate you in some way?  Or is it possible to do it on a day off?  Also, kinda weird that you were bleeding through your stitches, no?  Ugh, I’m a lawyer, not a doctor – this post is making my knees weak and hands shakey.  I feel so sorry for you!  *hug* I hope it works out.  🙁

@ChuckNorris:  the placement of your lump doesn’t look like a lymph node..the thing removed does. I don’t think thats a lymph node.

I’m sorry, hon. <3 I would be really upset, too, especially because he’s seen you/it before. Call ASAP and let them know what happened.
