Ever since we started planning the wedding I have told people the only thing I was 100% sure I wanted at the wedding was a certain baker to make my cake.  This statement was only partially true.  I really only knew about TWO things. 1. My baker and 2. The hairdresser.

One women cut and styled my hair from the age of 5-19 or 20. She witnessed it change colors naturally, change colors chemically, change thickness and then turn curly.  She KNOWS my hair.  When I was 19 or 20 she moved away with her husband for his job.

I thought it was completely out of the question that she'd be doing my hair since she didn't live in the state.  Well come to find out, since her daughter still lives here my hairdresser comes back once a month to see her grandbaby and daughter.

She found me on Facebook the other day (because I am friends with her daughter who I grew up with) and the hairdresser asked if I had someone to do my hair for the wedding. I was kind of sad because I have already booked a hair/MU artist (I'm a planner- and I thought it was coming back to bite me in the ass).

I was thinking of just forgoing my small deposit and letting this woman do my  hair and I'd find a new MU artist.  Well..... my old hairdresser offered to do my hair for free!!!  So I am going to keep the previous contracted hair/mu artist to do the bridesmaids hair (which I can pay for one now since mine was in the budget) and she will still do my makeup.

I am just elated that my old hair dresser will be doing my hair, and I can't believe she's doing it for free!!

I had to tell the Hive because my mother wasn't answering the phone. I'm just in shock- seriously in shock that someone would do this for me.  I cried- I'm emotional haha.

Oh, she is very kind. You can save some money. The most important is that you get love.
