I love my ring because of what it symbolizes. My FI picked it out, and I’m excited that I get to marry my best friend. The fact that it’s super sparkly and has vintage etching on the band makes me love it too 🙂 (excuse my crappy iPhone pics)

LittleE3:  What a nice idea for a thread! And I agree: all the rings I’ve seen are gorgeous and amazing in different ways. I love the variety found here on the ring boards and how each ring or set expresses its wearer’s individual personality.

For myself, I’m a little more obsessed with my ring than I should be … and waaaay more obsessed than I ever thought I would be — ha, ha! This style isn’t like anything I would have ever expected to love, but it truly was head-over-heels LOVE at first sight when I saw this setting. I carried a crummy iPhone picture of it around for months. I even dreamed about it. And now, it’s mine! Still can’t believe it.

There are so many things I love about it. It sparkles like crazy — way more than I expected it to. I’ve never had a true “sparkler” ring before, so that is one of my favorite things about it. I love that the setting feels really unique and different to me. I could be wrong about that, but I haven’t seen anyone else with something like this IRL. I love how it has (to me) a sort of traditional feeling to it, but at the same time also feels kind of art deco in design. And I am absolutely in love with the center stone. Maybe not as large as I would have liked, but I think it balances out so well in this setting. And it is such a lovely stone, which makes rainbow sparkles in the right light. Love!

I love my wedding ring! I love that I was able to design and make it along side my dad (a jeweler). My ring of course symbolizes my love and devotion to my wonderful husband, but it also was in a sense my last hoorah of designing with my dad. My ring just has so many memories behind it. It has the story of my husband and I, but also of the other man in my life. My dad. It has the story of when I first met my husband in our highschool senior English class, and it also has the story of me sitting at my dads work bench at four years old looking at the beautiful pieces of art he was crafting for women and men. My ring blingy it may be to some has so much meaning, and wonderful memories. When I “show off’ my ring I am trying to show my story. My story of my husband and I and the awesome relationship I have with my father, the one that has raised and taught me how to find and choose such an amazing man like my husband.

I hope my explaination makes sense. LOL. Here is my story…

LittleE3:  Awww, thanks!  I was unsure about that color when I first put it on, but I ended up liking it a lot.

I guess the fact that I actually had dreams about it does make this my “dream ring”, literally — LOL! It was kind of a long time in the making, as my husband gave it to me for our 15th anniversary. I love my original engagement ring, too, because it’s very sentimental and special to me. But, at the time, I remember my husband and I both just picked out the one we liked the best from what was available. We didn’t do a ton of shopping around or searching, and it seems like there weren’t as many options back then as there are now. (This was a long time ago — before the internet, really. LOL) Whenever my daughter catches me admiring my ring and teases me about it, my husband tells her, “That’s all right. Mama had to wait a long time for that ring.” LOL

I remember the proposal waiting game. Ugh … such utter torture. I hope you don’t have to wait for much longer until your dream ring is on your finger! *sending good luck vibes*

LadyAprill:  Finding Wedding Bee was so fantastic because it showed me I wasn’t alone in being totally obsessed with my ring — LOL! There’s definitely safety in numbers, as they say.  I would be obsessed with your ring, too, as it’s gorgeous!!

katy13:  Love your ring! And the wonderful story behind it. I think that makes it even more beautiful.

LittleE3:  Oh! And I forgot to add: Love your floral cluster ring! It is so pretty, and you can’t go wrong with diamonds and sapphires.

ETA: Sorry for the double-post! I realized after I posted the previous response that I needed to reply back to other bees. But I couldn’t figure out how to edit people’s names into the first post. *fail*
