How old are your daughters? I bet they’d love to go dress shopping with you! And I think I missed something, why can’t your MOH go?

Why can’t your MOH come with you?  You said you want her to come but not the reason why.  Is it a time issue or something?  Where in Ontario do you live?

Why dont you take your girls? They will LOVE seeing their mommy looking pretty.

OR try an aquatnence like a coworker or someone that TOTALLY understands your elopement and wont get offended for not coming.

Aaaww, I’m so sorry to hear this is the case for you… Frown Do you have some fun co-worker, other family members, FMIL or FSIL you can go with? Although I did shop with friends and fam. I have to tell you some of my “best” gown shopping was when i went alone. Just an upside for you! HOpe it works out… don’t cry!

I picked out my dress alone, too! It doesn’t have to be this big experience with an entourage. Pick something pretty that makes YOU happy and roll with it. Oh and I’m sure your girls would love to go with you.

NO way should she be offended. You deciding to elope has NOTHING to do with her. Make a “day of it” and say since we’re eloping I thought it be fun to shop together and go to lunch!

@His_Swallow: I really don’t see your friend being upset or offended, but you know her better than we do. Is she the type of person to get upset over things like this?

I agree with Blingybride! You can definitely ask her along! If it was me and my best friend was eloping, I would LOVE to go dress shopping! It would really show that you want her to be a part of your day, even if she physically wont be there.

Yeah, I bet that your MOH would be thrilled to go with you!  She would be so honored to be involved, especially since you are eloping!
