I accidentally just bought a 0.72 Ct moissy from eBay for $30. I don’t even know what I’m going to do with it. I don’t need a moissy. This is your fault bees.

Olivepepper :  hahaha I didn’t expect to win the auction. I’m actually redesigning my rings because bevause rhey haven’t fit in years, and my center stone was a 0.7 Ct diamond. I think I may use the old setting to set the moissy then I can replicate my original set? This is my justification at least.

jgti23 :  Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

Oh, also, I cannot count the amount of times I have won auctions I didn’t reaaaallly intend to win! This is why I have too many pretty things 😛

I did want to point out a seller that is fairly new, I am not affiliated with this person at all.  She sells stones from India.

What I like is she has very good pictures of the stones.  Her titles give a good indication too of what “tint” you may be seeing.  ICY SUNNY to me would mean a bit of yellow, ICY SILVER can be a bit blue, ICY WHITE G-H would be not much tint at all.  She has great feedback.  With her, she has sort of prescreened the stones, so the gamble is gone, her pics are very good.  She also has a 30 day return, you pay to ship it back is all.

Within minutes of becoming completely obsessed with this bored, I spent a few hours on eBay and within 6 minutes won my first bid on a 1.67ct pear moissy.

A pear is my new obsession and I can’t wait for it to come in. Now I just need a setting. 🤔

So…thanks ladies for making me completely obsessed and buying my newest dream cut and first moissanite 😃

Will probably make it a stand in or RHR.

I got mine today!! The first is an 8mm fancy grey colour, the second is 9.5mm off white and the third is the ridiculously huge 10.5mm the SO is intending to have set as his wedding ring. 😳 They’re all pictured next to my 8mm forever brilliant c&c ring. They’re all very beautiful. I’m intending to pop one in a silver mount as a RHR for fun!!

lydiaellen63 :  Thank you!!

So I got the yellow gold setting yesterday. I’m so excited to get it set with the grey moissy. It looks really nice just sitting in the prongs right now.

I got two of my three moissanites set this week.

The first was the off-white, which changes hues a lot, but is basically a warm color with lots of rainbow. It went into a 4-prong rose gold solitaire setting with some pave diamonds on either side. Very simple and pretty as a finished product.

Then the grey one went into a yellow gold setting with a cool halo on it and pave diamonds on the sides and prongs. I LOVE this one.

The jeweler was very impressed with the moissanites and the settings and I will go back to him when I get the setting I ordered for my other green moissy. Excuse my dry hands on the pics/videos!
