I’m so stoked with my discovery that I have to share. I went bra shopping yesterday, tried on about ten bras, two of which were ‘okay’. I have quite a large ribcage but not so much in the actual boobs, so need a 14A – but the cups on 12Bs fit my better 🙁
Also, I’m so over underwire. I hate having something so hard laying against me and sometimes digging in! I saw a flexi-bra in the shop, but there were none my size, so I asked the lady about non-underwire bras. She suggested a maternity bra! I tried one on and… wow!
The band is really wide and comfy (no bulgy bra-lines now!), it’s mega adjustable (like, 6 sets of hooks to choose from – I’m on the last one lol), AND it’s got flexible wire in it (doesn’t feel like underwire at all). And it’s pretty and black and lacy (Mr V highly approved). Plus it only cost me $25 because I was at the clearance store.
The other thing it does is give me CLEAVAGE! which has never happened before. It’s because there’s not the wire curving up holding the two cups seperate – instead the wire runs all the way along the bottom, with a little shaping in the middle. Thus they can sit together a little more.
Ok, I’ll stop my essay now… but I want to liberate the world! Go buy a pre-maternity bra! (**note: different to a nursing bra!!**)
[Edited to change maternity to pre-maternity – I looked on my reciept and that’s what it’s actually called]
