hey if you really like the veil, then it's worth having. Congrats on your first purchase! And here's to many more!
If you really love it, buy it! But one word of advice, bring it when you go to try on dresses. That way you can get the full picture and see if ur veil will go with your dress before you purchase it!
Awesome! I would also second the advice to try on dresses with the veil.
@Charm bracelet - thanks! I love it. Hopefully I don't change my mind over the next 5 1/2 months!
@rainbow & Miss Broadway - thanks, yeah definitely. Maybe I'll end up having to choose my dress based on what goes with my veil :P
How much are veils, 'normally'? I've seen second-hand ones for about half the price, but none were the right length, colour and edging, and I wouldn't buy one without trying it on anyway (which greatly limits my options!). So I think I did okay for price?

And I just HAD to share the excitement - it wasn't enough talking to fi on the phone about it (we can practice our veil lift and first (husband & wife) kiss now - his idea!) haha.
I went to my gown appointment with 3 of my bridesmaids and 3 other friends today, and there was this perfect veil there - length (fingertip at the back, to my elbow at the front), stiffness, colour (an off-white that is fine with off-white or ivory dress, which is what I need), thin edging. And they'd just discontinued the line so the shop can't restock (or maybe that was a line to get me to buy it? I would've bought it anyway!). And the price ($95) seemed quite reasonable compared to veils I've seen in other shops. So.... I bought it!
Maybe a bad idea buying the veil before the dress? But I'm happy!
Did anyone else put the cart before the horse, or make spontaneous wedding decisions? Did they work out, or not?
