I posted last month about how I was stuck between two dresses and didn’t know which to buy, and you all were so helpful in helping me decide between the two! I have since bought my dress and… it’s neither of them, lol!
Here are the dresses I was torn between:
(David’s Bridal, unknown style) I loved this dress for the simplicity of it, but it was poorly made and I wasn’t sure if I could live with that
(Alfred Angelo 2228. loved this dress SO much, but it was more than I originally wanted to pay.)
After listening to the hive’s opinions, I felt that the Alfred Angelo dress was “the one,” and made an appointment to go try it on. Well, once I tried it on I realized that it didn’t flatter me as much as the above picture makes it seem. The neckline looked very unnatural in person and made my body look very oddly proportioned, plus I just wasn’t in love with all the details that made the dress as expensive as it was!
So, I went on a new search, and ended up trying on a TON of new dresses, and found my dress! It’s significantly less expensive than the AA dress, but not poorly made like the DB dress and maintains some of the DB simplicity as well.
I love it! I think it’s a perfect mesh between the two dresses that I was originally in love with. Plus, although the picture doesn’t really show it (damn you, mirror picture!), this last dress was by far the most flattering of the three.
I’m so glad that I have this part of the wedding planning behind me, I was so sick of having all those options! I’m excited to just sit back and not take a second glance at another wedding dress ever agian! 😛
