I think you were right to get a size 10. It's easier to get things taken in than let out.
I'm not sure how PoB's alterations run price-wise, but that dress looks like it wouldn't be too difficult to alter.
Beautiful dress, and congrats! I almost bought an Amsale crumbcatcher.
Agree with fifty, I think the 10 is a good idea. It's easier to take things in than out.
That dress looks gorgeous on you. You made a wonderful decision. :)
very pretty! I agree with a 10. I didn't go up a size and it was a tight, rather uncomfortable fit lol. I am also IN LOVE with crumbcatchers. I don't know why. My mom hates them, but I wish I could have gotten one lol
What did the sizing chart tell you? They ordered me a 10 instead of an 8, despite the fact that on the sizing chart I was definitely an 8. I ignored that fact and trusted their judgment in error. If you measured a 10, I'd rest assured that you made the right choice!
I think the dress is great and agree with other posts that it would be much easier for them to take it in a bit rather than let it.
She said my bust was an 8, waist and hip a 10. Thanks for all the wonderful comments! :)
That dress is BEAUTIFUL! I am seriously in love with it. I love the pleaty... stand-upy... thing in the back. Goodness I'm eloquent!
Beautiful dress! Because the dress doesn't have any beadwork and the hemline is simple, I wouldn't think alterations will be too bad.
Very Pretty! Don't stress about dress sizes. I have always had to buy dresses in a larger size than I am used to. You look lovely!
so pretty! it looks wonderful on you! congrats on finding your perfect dress!
gorgeous! Loves it. My dress turned out nothing like what I imagine either. no sweat
Beautiful, beautiful dress! I LOVE it!!! And definitely good idea to get a bigger size. Much easier to take in than out.
Your dress is gorgeous....like it took my breathe away when I looked at it!!! I have total dress envy (even though I love my gown)! You made a great decision to go with the size 10 and I'm sure it won't cost a ton to get it taken in a little. Congrats on such a beautiful gown :)

So the dress I ended up buying is nothing like the Pronovias I showed you guys before! But I love it, and the 2nd time I went back to try it on again I didn't want to take it off! It's a Priscilla of Boston 4216. Now I have a little bit of a concern since I read someone else's post about their salon ordering a couple sizes too big for them. When I tried on their sample size 8, I barely got zipped into it, and they also told me that the dress has been stretched out a lot, and I believe them since you can tell in the zipper area. So I'm ordering a size 10, which I hope will get taken in some when I lose some weight. Do you guys think it will cost a lot to get it taken in? Should I have gotten the size 8 in the first place?
