SO... i bought this dress from The Limited. I've wanted to make my own dress for quite some time, but I keep getting scared of that task. So i figured i'd get a simple dress and add my own touches.
I LOVE dresses from the 1970s. silk with lace capes attached to the top. My thought is to remove the flower for use in my hair. And add a simple sash, and lace cape that i adore to the top this one. I wanted sleeves, but capelets are so darling! I thought that the fluting and the pleating would work will with lace.
The limited is having a sale. there are about 12 dresses under $99 and if you google some promo codes you can get $25 off like i did :) total with free shipping is $83! Beat that David's Bridal! (although i am going to DB to look sat the 21st and see if i find anything better... doubt it!)
