So I booked my venue months ago but the construction wasn’t finished on it so I didn’t post anything because I needed pictures. Well construction is done and I finally was able to get some pictures!!! Which is great timing because we have been engaged for almost exactly 2 years now (August 2nd) and we are finally less than a year away from the big day (July 11th). It feels so real now that we have a venue, my whole wardrobe and my bouquet; it’s all coming together better than I could have ever imagined. I would have never thought I would be able to get married at such a beautiful place but we were able to get a great deal for the venues newest, and best :), reception space. We will be married in the courtyard at the Mining Exchange Hotel in Colorado Springs and our reception will be the Gold Room which was the old utilities municipal building. It’s so old fashioned but well kept, I love it so much!! Here are pictures (Ignore the Frozen themed decorations lol they are for a birthday party)
Here’s the Gold Room
And the gate we will married in front of, right now my wedding planner is trying to convince me to weave fabric in it but I’m not sure about that, what do you think?

Looks beautiful! I think the gate you’ll be married in front of is gorgeous, but would definitely be possible to weave in flowers or fabric for more of a WOW factor.

Ooo…I love that gate! It is just stunning. *swoon*

ykyegbride: Thank you! I just wasn’t sure if the weaving would take away from it
PunkRockPrincess: Isn’t it?? 🙂 I never wanted to get married outside but that gate changed my mind 100% lol

Oh that gate is lovely! I would just leave it as is.

alyssaC: The gate is beautiful! i would be afraid the fabric would take away from the ornate design and possibly make it look cheap? Maybe flowers would work..

alyssaC: A birthday party!!?!? that’s one hellova party for a kid!!
I like the gate as it is…flowers might be nice, but I don’t like the idea of fabric.

Haha right??? Turns out the party is for the hotel owne’s daughter…. lucky kid.
I think I’m leaning towards the flowers now.
