Weddingbee boards

Sorry about the post title. I just finished writing two finals and my brain is completely fried! Hahaha...Anyhow...

I had a "friend" who was going to do my hair and make-up for my wedding. If you've read my bridesmaid horror stories (or not), the whole thing (friendship of long standing, her being my bridesmaid, her doing my make-up and hair, etc.) all went up in flames. It was arson. (Okay...I'm being snarky. Definitely time to go to bed!)

Anyhow (again), I was thrown into a panic. 5 months to the wedding and suddenly I'm out a free hair and make-up person and my budget doesn't have much wiggle room, almost none at all! Yikes! I scrambled, then forgot about it due to medical issues, then suddenly freaked out again this week, since as of yesterday we are 4 months to the wedding! Oh noes! I posted the sob story in short-hand on Facebook and...

I have a new (and totally affordable!!!) hair dresser! My friend, a professional hair stylist for 9+ years, read about my need for someone and she's totally stepped up to help me out! She doesn't do make-up, but she's offered to do my hair for $15, which she said is all to cover her supply costs. And, to top off the awesome, she's offered to come to wherever I am- home, church, etc.- so that I have fewer worries the day of my wedding! She's also giving me unlimited hair trails until we find a style that I like and looks good on me! <3 She's also offering to do anyone else's hair (BMs, mothers, grandmas, etc.) the day of for $30 a person, less then half of her usual wedding up-do charge. She said its her friend discount. :)

After so much drama and so many set-backs over the length of our engagement, I just had to share my awesome friendor find with the hive! Sometimes I feel so very very lucky.

Has anyone else found a vendor or friendor unexpectedly when they most needed it/them? Is anyone else feeling lucky and in love today? :D
