OMG!!! I just finish waching My sisters Keeper I cant stop crying.......
so I ask what is your favorite tear jerker movie????
hated that movie - they used a totally different ending from the book to gave it a hollywood ending!
OMG I cried so hard during Marley and Me, my head was on FI's chest and I got so embarassed about the tear spot I left on his shirt. Then I looked up and he was crying too! It's the only movie I've ever seen him cry to.
I'm a big baby lots of movies make me cry - Million Dollar Baby, The Notebook, Dispicable Me...
AI Artificial Intelligence
or
Marley and Me
Not necessarily favourites, but make me bawl like a baby.
The Notebook made me bawl like a baby. I cried first for the movie and then for my dignity. :)
The extended version of Return of the King. I bawl when Frodo sends Sam away, when Arwen has the vision of Aragon and her son and when Frodo leaves at the end. Every time. And i've seen that film more times than I can count!!
I'll never again watch Marley & Me. Not in a million years. If I feel like I need to cry, I watch Return to Me with David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. It kills me.
Candy starring Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish made me cry so hard I couldn't catch my breath.
P.S I love you! i cried so hard that I woke FI up and he thought something horrible had happened!
Marley & Me and the documentary Dear Zachary.
I cry pretty hard in most documentaries!
P.S. I Love You for sure! Also, 8 Seconds, Philadelphia, Marley & Me, Dear Zachary (excellent documentary!), Letters to Juliet....oh there are tons. I cry pretty easily.
@KatyElle: TS3 for me too... When Andy is playing with his toys at the end.... ugh gets me misty just thinking about it !
@CanadianMermaid: When Andy's mom goes into his room and sees the empty walls with the cloud wallpaper... oh my gosh I can't even deal. Heaving sobs.
Oh and DH's go-to cryathon movie is Old Yeller. And as a kid I cried for 3 days straight when our 4th grade class had to do a book report on Where the Red Fern Grows.
@KatyElle: gasjgfkldsajga; i totally forgot about where the red fern grows !!! I am going to reread that asap .
I tried watching Marley and Me and I started crying before the end because I had read the book and knew what was coming so I turned it off haha.
Toy Story 3 made me cry twice, the last Harry Potter movie made me cry. Them changing the ending to My Sisters Keeper pissed me off so much I didn't cry.
Ooo I thought of another one - Monsters Inc ...not all out sob .. but a little bit of the blowing up into the eyes to stop the tears from flowing...
this little girl was just so cute ! and dont even get me started on Sulley and Mike !

Also, Schindler's List. We had a field trip to see it in school and I could hardly see I was sobbing so hard. Our entire class was holding each other bawling. The girl in the red coat is one of the most powerful things I've ever seen.
There aren't many movies that I DON'T cry at. lol
Recently, I cried all through the first half of Soul Surfer and then cried again at the end
All pixar movies I WILL cry atleast at some point
All chick flicks and most drama's at some point
and I think the one I cried the most that I can remember was Tristan & Isolde
OH.. and Beaches always makes me cry... ever since I was little. lol
OMGosh.... actually the movie that made me cry the most, worst, longest was
The Stoning of Soraya M
I cried for HOURS even after the movie was over... Definitely not something that I'm up for watching again but definitely incredibly impacting.
@KatyElle: I'm avoiding seeing it, I cried during the end of Swing Kids, and that was enough
I forgot Saving Private Ryan at the end is awful- when he asks his wife if he's been a good man?
@CanadianMermaid: Oh god I agree. I have to fast forward through the beginning to watch that movie!!!
It's an old one, but my mom and I used to watch Beaches together and cry every single time as soon as "Wind Beneath my Wings" started to play. Since my mom passed away, I still can't listen to the song or watch the movie without crying - I've literally walked out of stores when the song is playing!
all things Pixar
Pursuit of Happiness
PS I love you
The Help
Bridesmaids
...those are just recent. But I honestly cry at everything. Doesnt matter if it's sad, or happy, I just get really emotionally invested in movies, and the characters.
@KatyElle: I knew there was one recently where I just lost it! It was toy story 3 at the end. Totally caught me by surprise.
OMG how could I forget Dead Poets Society? Another convulsing sobfest. O Captain My Captain!
The ones that really get me are Dumbo, Stepmom and I am Sam.
I saw I am Sam with some friends during college. We all cried throughout the entire movie but it seemed like no one else in the theater cried, we couldn't understand it. We were such a mess.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. I cry when you see everyone who died, then again at the sorta end when the three are standing on the bridge otuside holding hands, then again during the epilogue.
The Notebook, A walk to remember (which is also written by Nicholas Sparks), We Were Marshall, The Green Mile and the list goes on...Wow guess I'm a cry baby. lol!
