I can never resist sex and the city I have all the seasons on dvd and I am guilty of making FI watch all of them in a row before lol he now loves the gals just as much as I do. We saw both movies in the theatre together. Anytime we have nothing to watch we just throw it in the player lol I love my man for loving my show
YES! I have never seen it somehow, and I've been watching it since it came on at 11! I'm a waiting bee, and I am like 10 FREAKING YEARS OH MY GOD (but I realize it wasn't on her mind because he had already made it clear it wasn't happening and she seemed fine with it). I just wish we all had budgets of such grandeur and designers just send us dresses after we appear in magazines and we don't have to worry about the rent on our penthouse haha.

I don't think anyone understands how many times I have seen this movie! It's always on HBO plus I own it. I think I've seen it at least 30-40 times. I can practically recite it! And I've watched all of the episodes as well. Such an amazing show!
This is hilarious. I'm also watching it. Alone, on a saturday night. In lieu of going out to meet friends, or doing homework.

I'm glad I'm not the only one freakishly obsessed. I watch all the reruns on E hoping I will see one I haven't seen (knowing that it won't happen) so by default my SO has seen MANNYYYY SATC episodes, he knows their names and stuff haha. But this movie is just SOOO damn good!!! Second one obviously had NOTHING on the first one but I still liked it because it was more SATC, and that my friends, is always a good thing :) haha
I wish Vivienne Westwood was sending me gowns too, with hand written notes because I looked so amazing in her dress....b!tch.
I'm watching the movie and surfing wedding bee!! Its a wild Saturday night over here!!!
I get so emotional when Big ditched Carrie before the wedding and the whole scene with the two of them in the street. Charlotte's facial expression to Big gets me every time!
M fiance and I went through something very similar... He cancelled our wedding 1 month prior. I was left to clean up the mess and cancel our honeymoon, ironically also to Mexico.
Our story ended well though like theirs did, we got married 10 months ago :)
@chirod: I am so glad to hear that. I just cannot imagine going through that and being able to trust that next time we set a date, it was definitely going to happen. Major kudos to you and your DH.
@love108: It was really awful and I was extremely depressed for months afterwards. I felt like my life as I knew it was over. He cancelled our wedding because a family member of his spread lies about me creating a lot of drama and dividing our families. Once the truth came out and I was able to forgive, we set a new wedding date.
It all ended well, but I would not wish that pain on anyone. It was a horrible time in my life.
And P.S. His family member has never acknowledged or apologized to me for what she did.
@chirod: That is terrible. I hope she did not attend and you never have to deal with her again!!
I really wanted to like it because I know so many people who love SATC, but after analyzing all the racism and orientalism in the second Sex and the City movie (in one of my classes) I just couldn't bring myself to watch the first one :(
I love her dress and veil though! So pretty!

I'm innocently watching tv when all of a sudden...SEX AND THE CITY (movie) comes on USA...I cannot turn the channel...EVER...ever!!! This movie never gets old to me! It's the best culmination of all the seasons and is just one of the best love stories :)
Don't mind the fact that I am clearly wedding obsessed, and the whole movie is about Carrie and Big's wedding! I cry like a little b*tch every single time he stands her up and she throws her bouquet at him in the street. Just heartbreaking! But it all works out just the way it should and that's how I think life works :D Anyone else out there watching? My sis just texted me saying she was watching too haha, obsessed!
