I'm wearing Maggie Soterro's Adelaide.  I had a heck of a time finding a bridesmaids dress that I really like and that the girls feel comfortable in.  So we chose these bridesmaids dresses:  http://www.bestbridalprices.com/impressions-bridesmaid-dress-1569-p-12667.html

The only problem is that we have a Jr Bridesmaid, and Impressions doesn't have that great of a selection of Jr dresses...so it leaves the options:  http://www.bestbridalprices.com/impressions-junior-bridesmaid-dress-1601-p-12804.html  or  http://www.bestbridalprices.com/impressions-junior-bridesmaid-dress-1602-p-12805.html, neither of which really really go with the dress, but they'd look alright.  Now, I thought about getting her a sz 2 of the BM dress and having it altered, but she'll be 9 at the time of our wedding, so I didn't think the BM style was all that age appropriate, not because of the look of the front of the bodice, but because it has a low low back to it.  Besides, getting it altered to fit a 9 year old may be a huge undertaking since they'd have to remove the bust from the dress and all that.

Alright hive, I need huge opinions!  I'm so undecided on this one!

Oh, and my other question is, do the dress companies (like Impressions in this case) come out with a "spring collection" anytime soon?  Like, I'm secretly hoping if I wait just a bit longer to order their dresses, they'll have some new things to choose from for the Jr BM.  I can't decide, need opinions! : wedding Icon Wink

Just a thought...could you possibly do something with Impressions bridesmaid's seperates collection for the JR bridesmaid?

Hm, I see what you mean about the available styles. Is there a complementary color you could choose for your Jr. BM, and then hit up a store/website looking for that color in a better style? I would worry about an adult dress not looking right on a 9-year-old.

I like your BM dresses, but I agree that the two junior BM choices aren't great. Here's my suggestion: Order a sash (or extra fabric to make a sash) from Impression in fabric to match your BMs, then buy a prettier, more appropriate dress for your junior BM in a complementary colour from another company and use the sash to make it coordinate with the BMs. That way, everybody matches, but everybody gets a pretty dress, too!

My youngest sister is 16 and even at that age, I'm having a hard time finding a bridesmaid dress for her that doesn't make her look like she's playing dress up, so I definitely understand the need for something age appropriate. Could you take one of the simpler dresses and order some extra fabric to have a seamstress create an overlay that would mimic the pleating/ruching of the bridesmaid dresses while still maintaining the younger look?
