Okay, so I am decidedly obsessed with a certain ring but I don’t know if I should get the set, or if I should just get the E-ring and then get a half eternity band to go with it. What are your thoughts ladies?
And then just the ring:

I prefer the idea of veing able to wear your band separate, but some people are very particular about that matching look.

I would personally go with the matching set.

@MASPA: I’m not necessarily sold on matching. I’m wondering though if the enternity band goes well with it or not. My other concern is if the wedding band being flush against the e-ring is gonna bug the hell out of me, since it sits so high.
@strawbabies: I’m just hoping that it won’t sit to high and drive me nuts. Sooo conflicted. Thank you for thoughts.

I think the set looks GORGEOUS. They were meant to be together (a metaphor, perhaps?) and would fit flush as opposed to the eternity band.
The set gets my vote!

Have you tried the ring on? Trying it with each of the bands would give you a better idea of how it would all fit together.

I love the set! But im sure it’ll look great either way!

I am generally a fan of sets and while the e-ring is GORGEOUS, I am not a fan of the band that goes with it. Then again, I don’t know how the ring would look with an eternity band… it might look a bit off, you know? I think you need to go to the store and try both looks and see which one looks and feels best on your hand. Good luck!

- Wedding: October 2014 - Vegas baby!
I personally like the half eternity . I have never really liked matchy matchy sets, but that’s just my personal perference, either is beautiful!

i think the set looks amazing.

In this case I’d go with the set.

I would personally go with the matching set for this engagement ring. For me that gap would be too big between the e-ring and the wedding band.

I like the matching set and get the extra band too for those times you just want to wear the band….the more rings the better lol

Does the eternity band sit flush with the engagement ring? I like the look of the set, but how does the band from the set look by itself? Personally, my concern would be whether I had the option of wearing them together or just the band by itself (say if you were traveling and wanted to leave the major bling at home for safekeeping). If you do not plan on ever wearing the band separately, I would go with the set. That said, I would still follow the advice above re: trying the rings on together in person. You may be surprised by what you like!
