We didn't go on a honeymoon since my groom couldn't get time off.  But I took time off to set up the house.  I am stuffing anything that crosses my path into my mouth!  And the weirdest part is that I didn't even diet before the wedding, so I am not making up for anything.  I think I am just so relaxed.  I need to get back to work ASAP.

Lol, I always eat constantly when I have a day off, there's something about being relaxed at home and being slightly bored and having all that food in such close proximity, and probably something to do with my lack of will power ha ha :), but i feel ya girl!

I did this right after I bought my wedding dress :(. I was about as thin as I'd ever been as an adult (but still a pound or two from goal) and right after I realized how CLOSE I was (the dress will be just a TINY bit too tight in the waist), it's like I got lazy and crazy. Luckily I still have two months until the dress arrives, and then another three until the wedding. ;)

In your case I think it's a combo of the weather, the time off (boredom makes me eat), and the reduction of stress now that your wedding has passed!

@marigold- This week/weekend is my fall break (started today! woop!) but I'm just spending it at home with my fiance. His fall break was a few weeks ago, so he'll be in class. I'm so scared that I'll be so bored and sabatoge myself. Thankfully I keep little-to-no food around. We live a block from Publix. :p

I'll always be like, cleaning is good exercise, NOM NOM SNACK.

Now I am bored with all the food that is in the house since I have been eating it for a few days.  My mind is going crazy thinking about all the things I want to go out and get to eat.  Glad I am not the only one who gets like this!

Yeah, I'm okay on breaks now (NEVER bored with wedding planning! ;) but when I work in an office environment? 10 pounds. Instantly. ;) My last job was all about feeding us, and I was BORED AS HELL and ate ALL of it!

haha... and once you get bored with the food you have, you eat more of it hoping it will satisfy the undetermined craving, right? ;)

I think most of us can say we eat/snack more when bored at home.  As long as its not junk food then it shouldn't be a problem.  I don't keep any sweets or junk type foods on hand as much anymore.  So that way, if I am over eating/over snacking, its with fruit or other not-so-bad stuff instead.  Happy medium!!

I'm terrible at eating when I'm bored ... seriously - if it's around me, it's usually in my mouth when I'm bored. That's precsely why I say I can't quit smoking!

I was actually disappointed that I froze the top tier of the wedding cake because a few hours ago I wanted to eat it.

Maybe tomorrow I will hit the gym.  Only problem is, my gym has a pretty awesome juice bar.

I'm eating tons due to stress at work. I told my personal trainer this morning what I ate last night & he sat there with his mouth hanging open lol. Now he's put me on a strict lower carb diet & extra training sessions.

While almost puking during our bootcamp he screamed out "You're getting married, right? This is bull sh*t!! Get your a$$ moving! You're gonna be a fat bride!" lol he was sooo pissed off & I wanted to cry. We've been training together for 8 months lol so its okay.

Seriously, I'll give you the good things I ate last night: 4 cupcakes, 2 cookies & a handful of hershey's kisses. ick.

Jocelyn, you could do what the FI and I have been doing... keeping minimal food in the house except for healthy staples (we're both veggies, so salad makings, fruit, whole wheat cereals and breads, soy "meat", yogurt, water and coffee). Our only temptation is when we go to the grocery store - luckily, not RIGHT outside my apt this year like it was last year!

Whole Foods is my downfall. Does anyone else have this addiction? They have THE BEST junk food in the world. It's like a vegetarian's dream come true - I had a "meatball" sub last night for the first time in 9 years.

I'm doing the same thing! Although, we went on our honeymoon, and ate a ton then, too.

And since we've gotten home, I've wanted take-out and pizzas almost every night. And worse, I let myself! I didn't diet, per se, before the wedding. Just watched what I ate so I didn't gain any weight to ensure my dress fit. But the days leading up to the wedding I was too excited to eat anything, so I was on an almost empty stomach for three days straight. That HAS to be why I can't stop eating now.

I'm giving myself  through this weekend to start shaping up (with a few allowances) and then next week, it's back to regular gym workouts and somewhat healthy eating.

@joyelyn3476  The exact same thing happened to me after our wedding.  We did take a couple of days for a quick minimoon, but I wanted to eat any and everything!  I also didn't diet before the wedding, just stuck with my normal exercise.  I think after the wedding my brain and body just felt a tremendous release of stress (even though I didn't FEEL stressed) and that was the way my body responded.  It's a month later and I feel like I am just getting back to having my "normal" appetite where I am not wanting to chew my own arm off or eat a burger at every meal.
