Bellagiobride:  Well, I can’t do much to help you stop, other than to say that I’ve had just about every early pregnancy symptom you can think of sometime in the last year (since I came off the pill and started charting), and I’ve never been pregnant.  I’m talking nausea, lightheadedness, frequent urination, heartburn, fatigue, hot flashes, sore boobs, weird cramps.  Maybe not all at once, but at some point I’ve had it.  I’m going to try to remind myself of that in a week or two when I’m in my first TWW – unfortunately, pretty much every pregnancy symptom can also be just plain ole’ PMS.

I’m the same way. Each month I swear I won’t symptom spot, but it’s tough. I’m getting better at it though. Now instead of obsessively googling I just remind myself they can be PMS symptoms too. If I get an irresistible urge to google I only allow myself to spend 5 minutes max looking into it.

I’m always fine until the last two days before I test and then I symptom spot like crazy. The only thing I know that helps me is when I think “your body already knows if it’s pregnant.”

for or some reason that calms me down. I guess just because there’s nothing more i can do to get pregnant at that point, and I don’t have to worry if I am or not because my body already knows.

Bellagiobride:  Meeee tooo!! I’ve been feeling crampy and bloated the last 3 days and i keep saying “ignore it, keep going, just stop being insane”.

Equine_Breeder:  Yes. i do say that ALOT! Its more an internal dialoge

me – “ouch, wtf is that weird pinch. Was it gas? Maybe my uterus? Implantation!!?”

my brain – “calm the fuck down. If your pregnant you will know in a week. Analyzing that pinch will mean nothing. You can’t make it happen by telepathy.”

Swizzle:  haha I had to give myself a similar pep talk during my last TWW. I was symptom spotting like crazy and I think even manifesting some symptoms with my mind and then I said to myself “ok, get a grip! Feeling nauseous is not going to make you any more or less pregnant! If you are you are and if you aren’t you aren’t so stop trying to trick yourself into feeling symptoms!”

and as it turned out I was not pregnant, think I got it out of my system now though as I had lot’s of weird pinches and twitches that I had never noticed before and though muuust mean I was pregnant, now I know it doesn’t matter what I feel or don’t feel until I get those two little lines.

I’m having a really specific symptom-spot and trying really hard not to get too excited. When I was pregnant with my son, I had a pain on my right side, especially during sex. I’m having the same pain right now (first cycle TTC #2). I needed the pep talk… I don’t test until Friday or Saturday.

Doing this now. Driving myself insane. A week late but no BFP. I wish AF would just hurry up if I’m not pregnant!! My body seems to be screwing with me. Yesterday I googled extreme thirst symptom of pregnancy!!

Bellagiobride:  TWW is THE WORST. I honestly hate it. I literally convince myself I :over think” the egg from my goddamn uterine wall.

Swizzle:  hhaha implantation…. a great befuddler to women TTC.

I’ll share this embarrassing story because I know you TTC bees will think it’s funny…

The other month during TWW I was on a walk on the trails with my dogs and got some cramping. I got SUPER excited and read through literally 20 pages of internet anecdotes confirming they were pregnancy cramps. I just KNEW I was pregnant! I was cramping! The internet said so!!

Then I farted. REALLY loud and long.

Turns out it wasn’t an embryo but rather the garbanzo beans from lunch fermenting themselves out of my system.

Sigh.

lealorali:  Hahaha that is awesome.

My own silly TWW story….DH texted me yesterday to tell me he had “double good news” to tell me when he got home. My first thought was “am I pregnant?!?!”, as if he could know before me….this ridiculous thought only lasted for a second, but it happened…
